A suggestion to RSS Awareness Day on 1st May

Can I Feed You?, What are people talking about when they talk about RSS feeds?

Let me make it simple. In fact, let me make it REAL simple. RSS stands for “really simple syndication”.Basically, it is a format for distributing and gathering content from various sources across the web. This can include newspapers, magazines and ablogs. Using something called a “news reader”, you can monitor headlines and summaries from many of your favorite sources without having to go to a web site. if you want to know more about it just check the Wikipedia entry for RSS

If you see something of interest, you can click a link in the news feed and read an entire article. It’s a GREAT system, and if you aren’t using it, you are missing out on a technology that can save you a great deal of time.

It’s for this reason that I have created a news feed of my blog at Ardhindie.com.

The beauty of using RSS news feeds is that there is no cost. Yup, it’s all free.

So whether you want to use My Yahoo!, newsgator, My AOL, Google news feeds, netvibes, Feed Demon, or any other number of news readers, you can easily view headlines from my blog and not miss a thing!

Here is where you need to start

Click this link and then select the news reader of your choice.

That’s all there is to it! Now you will be able to view headlines and click through only if the article is of interest to you. Cool idea, huh?
