Integral representations of holomorphic functions play an important part in the classical theory of functions of one complex variable and in multidimensional com plex analysis (in the later case, alongside with integration over the whole boundary aD of a domain D we frequently encounter integration over the Shilov boundary 5 = S(D)). They solve the classical problem of recovering at the points of a do main D a holomorphic function that is sufficiently well-behaved when approaching the boundary aD, from its values on aD or on S. Alongside with this classical problem, it is possible and natural to consider the following one: to recover the holomorphic function in D from its values on some set MeaD not containing S. Of course, M is to be a set of uniqueness for the class of holomorphic functions under consideration (for example, for the functions continuous in D or belonging to the Hardy class HP(D), p ~ 1).

Analytic Extension is a mysteriously beautiful property of analytic functions. With this point of view in mind the related survey papers were gathered from various fields in analysis such as integral transforms, reproducing kernels, operator inequalities, Cauchy transform, partial differential equations, inverse problems, Riemann surfaces, Euler-Maclaurin summation formulas, several complex variables, scattering theory, sampling theory, and analytic number theory, to name a few. Audience: Researchers and graduate students in complex analysis, partial differential equations, analytic number theory, operator theory and inverse problems.

Carleman Estimates And Applications To Inverse Problems For Hyperbolic Systems written by Mourad Bellassoued and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2017-11-23 with Mathematics categories.

This book is a self-contained account of the method based on Carleman estimates for inverse problems of determining spatially varying functions of differential equations of the hyperbolic type by non-overdetermining data of solutions. The formulation is different from that of Dirichlet-to-Neumann maps and can often prove the global uniqueness and Lipschitz stability even with a single measurement. These types of inverse problems include coefficient inverse problems of determining physical parameters in inhomogeneous media that appear in many applications related to electromagnetism, elasticity, and related phenomena. Although the methodology was created in 1981 by Bukhgeim and Klibanov, its comprehensive development has been accomplished only recently. In spite of the wide applicability of the method, there are few monographs focusing on combined accounts of Carleman estimates and applications to inverse problems. The aim in this book is to fill that gap. The basic tool is Carleman estimates, the theory of which has been established within a very general framework, so that the method using Carleman estimates for inverse problems is misunderstood as being very difficult. The main purpose of the book is to provide an accessible approach to the methodology. To accomplish that goal, the authors include a direct derivation of Carleman estimates, the derivation being based essentially on elementary calculus working flexibly for various equations. Because the inverse problem depends heavily on respective equations, too general and abstract an approach may not be balanced. Thus a direct and concrete means was chosen not only because it is friendly to readers but also is much more relevant. By practical necessity, there is surely a wide range of inverse problems and the method delineated here can solve them. The intention is for readers to learn that method and then apply it to solving new inverse problems.

Litvinchuk and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-12-06 with Mathematics categories.

The first formulations of linear boundary value problems for analytic functions were due to Riemann (1857). In particular, such problems exhibit as boundary conditions relations among values of the unknown analytic functions which have to be evaluated at different points of the boundary. Singular integral equations with a shift are connected with such boundary value problems in a natural way. Subsequent to Riemann's work, D. Hilbert (1905), C. Haseman (1907) and T. Carleman (1932) also considered problems of this type. About 50 years ago, Soviet mathematicians began a systematic study of these topics. The first works were carried out in Tbilisi by D. Kveselava (1946-1948). Afterwards, this theory developed further in Tbilisi as well as in other Soviet scientific centers (Rostov on Don, Ka zan, Minsk, Odessa, Kishinev, Dushanbe, Novosibirsk, Baku and others). Beginning in the 1960s, some works on this subject appeared systematically in other countries, e. g. , China, Poland, Germany, Vietnam and Korea. In the last decade the geography of investigations on singular integral operators with shift expanded significantly to include such countries as the USA, Portugal and Mexico. It is no longer easy to enumerate the names of the all mathematicians who made contributions to this theory. Beginning in 1957, the author also took part in these developments. Up to the present, more than 600 publications on these topics have appeared.

Complex Analysis Through Examples And Exercises written by Endre Pap and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1999-07-31 with Mathematics categories.

This volume on complex analysis offers an exposition of the theory of complex analysis via a comprehensive set of examples and exercises. The book is self-contained and the exposition of new notions and methods is introduced step by step. A minimal amount of expository theory is included at the beginning of each section in the Preliminaries, with maximum effort placed on well-selected examples and exercises capturing the essence of the material. The examples contain complete solutions and serve as a model for solving similar problems given in the exercises. The readers are left to find the solution in the exercises; the answers, and occasionally, some hints, are given. Special sections contain so-called Composite Examples which consist of combinations of different types of examples explaining some problems completely and giving the reader an opportunity to check all his previously accepted knowledge. Audience: This volume is intended for undergraduate and graduate students in mathematics, physics, technology and economics interested in complex analysis.

Complex Analysis written by Murali Rao and has been published by World Scientific this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1991 with Mathematics categories.

This is a rigorous introduction to the theory of complex functions of one complex variable. The authors have made an effort to present some of the deeper and more interesting results, for example, Picard's theorems, Riemann mapping theorem, Runge's theorem in the first few chapters. However, the very basic theory is nevertheless given a thorough treatment so that readers should never feel lost. After the first five chapters, the order may be adapted to suit the course. Each chapter finishes with exercises.
