This the final installment in the Christian Fiction series: Way Station Part I, Beyond the Way Station Part II-To Hell for the Holidays, The Way Station Part III -- The Day After Life. If your goal is to get to Heaven then here is one interpretation from the book designed to provide Basic Instruction Before Leaving Earth; better known as the BIBLE, of what will happen the Day After Life. Life is like a basketball game or any other team sport. The coach (God) sends you in to help win the game. The goal of Life is to win as interpreted by the one who created the game in the first place (God). So with that picture in your mind let me complete my explanation of the game of Life; the told you to go in and win the game. That is the same thing he told all of the other players in the locker room. The Coach gave everyone their individual assignments; they practiced their assignments within the context of the play's the Coach designed. The Coach told every one about the opponent's strengths, strategies, even the individual players the opponent will be using during the game. You on the other hand seemingly understood every thing the Coach has explained, you were given the play book (Bible) and told to study it in preparation for the is big game. You've seen the film clips of some of your opponent's team mates (Nightmares and real life meanies) and you've practiced how to defend them, or keep them from scoring. Now you walk on the court, we are talking about basketball here, and all you can remember is score as many points as possible and you will obtain the goal that the coach sent you in to do. As the game gets going the only things that cross your mind are scoring, then assisting and then defending. Occasionally someone calls for a particular play to be run and you suddenly find yourself confused or distracted not knowing whether to pass the ball to the open man or to stick to the designated play and hit the man at the spot he is supposed to be at. Now the final buzzer has rung and the game is over you are in the locker room and the Coach is going over your performance during the game that lead to the final score. How do you think this conversation is going to go when the Coach will not tell you the final score before the conversation begins? The Day After Life is that moment when the game is over and the score board is being tallied but the Coach is questioning your performance on the court. Not knowing whether your team won or not or if you will receive the MVP or be kicked off the team you face the litany of opened questions from the press, the fans, the Coach and the Teams Owner while awaiting the ultimate decision. Will your contract be approved? Follow four team players through this life's final inquiry, the one that determines where their soul's next final resting place will be the Day After Life.

Hugo Award Winner: In backwoods Wisconsin, an ageless hermit welcomes alien visitors—and foresees the end of humanity . . . Enoch Wallace is not like other humans. Living a secluded life in the backwoods of Wisconsin, he carries a nineteenth-century rifle and never seems to age—a fact that has recently caught the attention of prying government eyes. The truth is, Enoch is the last surviving veteran of the American Civil War and, for close to a century, he has operated a secret way station for aliens passing through on journeys to other stars. But the gifts of knowledge and immortality that his intergalactic guests have bestowed upon him are proving to be a nightmarish burden, for they have opened Enoch’s eyes to humanity’s impending destruction. Still, one final hope remains for the human race . . . though the cure could ultimately prove more terrible than the disease. Winner of the Hugo Award for Best Novel, Way Station is a magnificent example of the fine art of science fiction as practiced by a revered Grand Master. A cautionary tale that is at once ingenious, evocative, and compassionately human, it brilliantly supports the contention of the late, great Robert A. Heinlein that “to read science-fiction is to read Simak.”

"This ethnography is more like a film than a book, so well does Stoller evoke the color, sight, sounds, and movements of Songhay possession ceremonies."—Choice "Stoller brilliantly recreates the reality of spirit presence; hosts are what they mediate, and spirits become flesh and blood in the 'fusion' with human existence. . . . An excellent demonstration of the benefits of a new genre of ethnographic writing. It expands our understanding of the harsh world of Songhay mediums and sorcerers."—Bruce Kapferer, American Ethnologist "A vivid story that will appeal to a wide audience. . . . The voices of individual Songhay are evident and forceful throughout the story. . . . Like a painter, [Stoller] is concerned with the rich surface of things, with depicting images, evoking sensations, and enriching perceptions. . . . He has succeeded admirably." —Michael Lambek, American Anthropologist "Events (ceremonies and life histories) are evoked in cinematic style. . . . [This book is] approachable and absorbing—it is well written, uncluttered by jargon and elegantly structured."—Richard Fardon, Times Higher Education Supplement "Compelling, insightful, rich in ethnographic detail, and worthy of becoming a classic in the scholarship on Africa."—Aidan Southall, African Studies Review

The author of Japan’s Gestapo details the atrocities committed by the Japanese Navy during World War II. While the Japanese Navy followed many of the British Royal Navy’s traditions and structures, it had a totally different approach to the treatment of its foes. Author Mark Felton has uncovered a plethora of outrages against both servicemen and civilians that make chilling and shocking reading. These range from the execution of POWs to the abandonment of survivors to the elements and certain starvation to the infamous Hell Ships. Felton, who lives in the Far East, examines the different culture that led to these frequent and appalling atrocities. This is a serious and fascinating study of a dark chapter in naval warfare history.

This is the sequel to 'The Way Station.' These two of a planned three book project, are fictional accounts of what could happen immediately following a person's death. The first book in this trilogy was about the moments' right before the souls of six strangers transitioned to either the other side of life, better known as the 'hereafter' or to the next phase of life, known as the second chance to get it right. This volume follows seven people from different walks of life took an elevator ride together, but unbeknownst to them here in the sequel, we follow four prospective awardees as they travel the same road to retrieve a large cash reward for doing something good; again not really sure of what. Each of their stories differ from our first group of awardees in that none of this group will be given the option of being recycled; or even given a second chance at life. Their lives are over the only question is where will their final resting place be.Once each of the awardees reaches their individual destination, they will be ushered off of the elevator to confront a life screening; to defend their choice of where their soul's final resting place will be. Each awardee will inadvertently select the place where their final destiny might lie but don't be fooled and think that their final destination has been predetermined they each still have to make one more choice. You will read and see what awaits each of these awardees just 'Beyond' The Way Station, where once you may have had a second chance and now you don't. Your only chance may rest on how well you argue your pass choices in life, or how convincing the choices you might have made, given the facts you now know, would have worked out had you been given a second chance. Take a ride with these four people to their final destination. Remember you just might find that one of your choices will push you 'Beyond' The Way Station' and To Hell for the Holidays".
