Every second, billions of people interact with digital systems, creating an unprecedented torrent of information. Social media posts, online transactions, sensor readings from Internet of Things devices, satellite imagery, genomic sequences, and countless other sources contribute to this deluge. By some estimates, we create over 2.5 quintillion bytes of data daily, with ninety percent of all data in existence having been created in just the past two years. This exponential growth in data generation has been enabled by several converging technological trends. The proliferation of smartphones and mobile devices has put powerful computing capabilities in the hands of billions of people worldwide. Cloud computing has democratized access to vast computational resources, allowing organizations of all sizes to store and process enormous datasets without massive upfront infrastructure investments. The Internet of Things has embedded sensors and connectivity into everyday objects, from refrigerators to industrial machinery, creating new streams of real-time data about our physical world.
