De vermiste boordschutter is gebaseerd op recent vrijgegeven materiaal, exclusieve interviews en uitvoerig onderzoek naar het Franse verzet, en vertelt het spannende en enerverende verhaal van Meyerowitz’ benarde periode in Toulouse – waar hij zich voor moest doen als doofstomme en samenwerkte met de eveneens neergehaalde Britse piloot Richard Frank Wharton Cleaver om uit handen van de nazi’s te blijven.
