This book brings together the latest knowledge from attachment research and neuroscience to provide a new approach to treating trauma for therapists from different professional disciplines and diverse theoretical backgrounds. The field of trauma suffers from fragmentation as brands of therapy proliferate in relation to a multiplicity of psychiatric disorders. This fragmentation calls for a fresh clinical approach to treating trauma. Pinpointing at once the problem and potential solution, the author places the experience of being psychologically alone in unbearable emotional states at the heart of trauma in attachment relationships. This trauma results from a failure of mentalizing, that is, empathic attunement to emotional distress. Psychotherapy offers an opportunity for healing by restoring mentalizing, that is, fostering psychological attunement in the context of secure attachment relationships-in the psychotherapy relationship and in other attachment relationships. The book gives a unique overview of common attachment patterns in childhood and adulthood, setting the stage for understanding attachment trauma, which is most conspicuous in maltreatment but also more subtly evident in early and repeated failures of attunement in attachment relationships.

Starting with 1964's Goldfinger, every James Bond film has followed the same ritual, and so has its audience: after an exciting action sequence the screen goes black and the viewer spends three long minutes absorbing abstract opening credits and a song that sounds like it wants to return to 1964. In The James Bond Songs authors Adrian Daub and Charles Kronengold use the genre to trace not only a changing cultural landscape, but also evolving conceptions of what a pop song is. They argue that the story of the Bond song is the story of the pop song more generally, and perhaps even the story of its end. He feels an infatuation towards a pretty college girl named Maya, belonging to Sindhi community. He marries that girl, hiding the fact he was already married .They had no issues .Suresh later goes to Dubai on getting a highly paid job and takes Maya with him. Suresh never took Maya to his ancestral house, in Kerala. Even though she had all the comforts and luxuries, she was unhappy. He took her to many foreign countries for sight- seeing and treating her infertility. Still she did not conceive and was worried. She goes to his house in Kerala, alone, uninvited after 18 years, discovers his treachery and this leads to immediate divorce and Maya returns to Bombay. After this, Suresh did not live long and he was found dead in his room. Maya adopts a baby boy and comes for the marriage of his daughter Rohini, in his first wife with a costly diamond necklace as gift in one hand and the adopted child in the other.
