Expect No Help' is a non-fiction novel that depicts America from the 1960's up to now through the eyes of someone who was there...and still is...sometimes. It shows most anyone who reads this how to grow up (author's point of view), even coming up in the 60's and 70's. Much change happened from then till now...with the word change now reduced to a 4-letter word...along with the word power. This novel is all about the future of this country at the grass-roots level. That means 'old school America' ain't goin` anywhere soon...if at all! However, this novel looks at 'new school America' with only slight skeptisism, only for the fact...change makes the world go `round. Without change, the world turns stagnant. However, once again,"What do you want to change into?" This novel does a pretty good job in trying to decipher that question, leaving no stone unturned...with an open-minded and also a one-sided opinion. That is not easy to do. There is absolutely no 'political correctless' what-so-ever in this novel and could be considered toxic to people with narrow-minded beliefs. This novel don't care...but with tact. It is written somewhat off of the streets in a language that anyone...from a stoner to a P.H.D can understand. The very first part of the book vaguely states what the novel is all about and if that's gunna be a rough ride for you...wear a helmut while reading it or find something else to do.

She burst into uncontrollable sobs. And he let her get it out, wanting to reach out and embrace her, hold her but daring to interrupt the flood of raw emotion now being released through so many tears. She cried like a little helpless baby until he had no choice but to hold her. And when he took her into his arms where he could feel her body close to his, he was falling backwards through the memories of their romance... His career was the perfect American tragedy, layered by those darker images reflected in the shadows of the invisible black man. He was that rare commodity and commercial powerhouse with artistic value and street credibility. His rapid ascent to fame came actually from the dark side of the American dream, which afforded him a chance to develop a reputation and image that made him one of Detroit’s most infamous personalities. He was living the hustler’s life through the poetry of his art. Outside the walls of the biggest walled prison in the world, he stood in the broken sunlight and took council with himself, a man consciously trying to decide what course to follow... Strange Fruit is that broken memoir that imagines a journey through the mind and madness of a starving artist trying to reconcile sins of a generational curse. Success would be the better revenge. He was well aware of the contradictions in his lifestyle. Society wouldn’t let him forget. Determination couldn’t be disenfranchised. Donavon Taylor was raised in the trashy back alleys of Detroit and the systematic racism of old, at a time police were killing unarmed black people on video and getting away with state sponsored murder. He was a diamond in the dirt. He had no real choice but to fight against his own character flaws and survive both the sacred and the profane. He was a native son of the city. He was Detroit everyday... He was an artist who hustled all his life through the poetry of being black in a day and time when being black meant you had to march and protest for Black Lives to Matter. He was forced to be humble and stand on the front lines fighting injustice and inequality. Trump republicans were losing the culture battle while unresolved grievances and bitterness revealed itself through America’s painful politics: voter suppression, police violence, mass shootings and the rise of right wing militant hate groups. QAnon supporters were living their American dream in the cult of an alternate universe quarantined in a bubble of lies and conspiracy theories. Donny was forced to deal with the drama of being the black antagonist in a global pandemic while America stare into the abyss of insurrection, old Jim Crow antics and ghosts of the Confederacy.

This book of poetry was inspired by my lifetime events. Most poems are about stars, rainbows, and happy endings. This book is a reflection of me, and how God deals with me. Read, hear, and listen, but most of all get an understanding. Every piece of poetry tells a story, but every story is not told out loud, or seen with the natural eye.

"Author Wade Hall, the first of his family to graduate from high school, is a native of Bullock County. In the 1970s and early 1980s, during visits back to his home county, he recorded the memories of some of the county's oldest inhabitants, including the nineteen people who now speak from these pages. What they shared were recollections of a culturally and technologically isolated time - in which life was hard but honest and people persevered with stoicism and a simple, unfettered religious faith."--Jacket.

Toward Spiritual Sovereignty diagnoses societal samodaya (Buddhist terminology for emotional craving). The author uses extensive knowledge and wisdom from masters of ages past and present to refocus the spirit of man (spiritus mundi) on a wholesome re-creation of the world community. Every soul has the divine right to determine his or her sacred path to their unique destiny upon the horizons of learned choice. Political aggression, (governmental power), religious aggression (proselytizing), and financial aggression (voracious capitalism) provide conflict and work against the realization of happiness and wellbeing. These works are an attempt to advocate for the abolition of hindrance toward those ends, to advocate, without fetter, for spiritual sovereignty of every soul. Each person, Homo Divinitas (man of Divinity) should be able to experience life without threat. Threat can manifest in the form of hunger, poverty, illiteracy, illness, or physical/emotional/spiritual aggression. The 21st century provides an atmosphere of escalating violence, and terror, amidst the Middle East in particular, and the world in general. Such as the Roman Forum prior to the turn of the first millennia after Christ, mankind seems unable or unwilling to cease participation in the spiritual morphine of violence whether real, virtual, or vicarious. Mr. Casperson's authorship proposes effective measures for self-enlightenment and effective ways to cope with violence and political and religious terrorism.
