This report presents results from the annual follow-up survey of graduates from post-secondary programs offered through the Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology. Survey results are presented in overview and for specific programs in the areas of business, health, industrial, service and technology. Graduate reponses were sought to questions about employment status, occupation, industry, location of employment, salary, relationship of training to occupation, and general evaluation of training received. The appendices contain the questionnaire and an alphabetical list of training programs.

This report presents findings from a telephone survey of 7,566 Alberta university & college graduates two years after program completion. The report provides comparisons across 21 fields of study, and to permit a broader assessment of program areas, the fields of study are further classified into larger groups representing four broad levels of education (undergraduate arts & science, undergraduate professional degrees, professional second degrees, and graduate degrees). Introductory sections include information on the survey methodology and on the demographic characteristics of the surveyed population, the class of 2000. Survey results are then presented with regard to: variations in socio-demographic characteristics among fields of study; student satisfaction with program of study; graduates' perceptions of the financial worth of their program of study; employment outcomes; education to workforce transitions; current activities of graduates, including educational & labour market activities; and education & work patterns by rural/urban origins of graduates. Comparisons are made throughout with results of a similar survey from 1998. A copy of the survey instrument is appended.
