Lyapunov Stability Of Transformation Semigroups written by Victor H. L. Rocha and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2025-04-10 with Mathematics categories.
This book presents recent research results on Lyapunov stability and attraction for semigroup actions in a pedagogical format, providing the reader with numerous modern ideas and mathematical formulations for dynamical concepts in the transformation group theory. In recent decades, many fundamental concepts of dynamical systems have been extended to the general framework of transformation semigroups. Limit sets, attractors, isolated invariant sets, prolongational limit sets, and stable sets now have semigroup theoretical analogues. This monograph consolidates recent advancements in this field in a way that makes it accessible to graduate students. An effort was made to relate the presented results to important recurrence notions, for contextual clarity. A rudimentary understanding of group theory and topology, including the concepts of semigroup action, orbit, fiber bundle, compactness, and connectedness, is a prerequisite for reading this text. As a valuable resource for research projects and academic dissertations on topological dynamics, geometry, and mathematical analysis, this work can potentially open new avenues for further research.

Evolution Semigroups In Dynamical Systems And Differential Equations written by Carmen Chicone and has been published by American Mathematical Soc. this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1999 with Mathematics categories.
The main theme of the book is the spectral theory for evolution operators and evolution semigroups, a subject tracing its origins to the classical results of J. Mather on hyperbolic dynamical systems and J. Howland on nonautonomous Cauchy problems. The authors use a wide range of methods and offer a unique presentation. The authors give a unifying approach for a study of infinite-dimensional nonautonomous problems, which is based on the consistent use of evolution semigroups. This unifying idea connects various questions in stability of semigroups, infinite-dimensional hyperbolic linear skew-product flows, translation Banach algebras, transfer operators, stability radii in control theory, Lyapunov exponents, magneto-dynamics and hydro-dynamics. Thus the book is much broader in scope than existing books on asymptotic behavior of semigroups. Included is a solid collection of examples from different areas of analysis, PDEs, and dynamical systems. This is the first monograph where the spectral theory of infinite dimensional linear skew-product flows is described together with its connection to the multiplicative ergodic theorem; the same technique is used to study evolution semigroups, kinematic dynamos, and Ruelle operators; the theory of stability radii, an important concept in control theory, is also presented. Examples are included and non-traditional applications are provided.

The Dynamic Morse Theory Of Control Systems written by Josiney Souza and has been published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2020-01-20 with Mathematics categories.
This book provides insights into the dynamics of control systems with the integration of conceptions such as stability, controllability, attraction, and chain transitivity. It highlights the importance of Morse theory with its feature of describing the global dynamics of systems, presented here for the first time in control theory. The mathematical formulations are comprehensive, designed especially for students, researches, and professionals interested in qualitative studies of control systems. The reader will find the book an accessible source of basic definitions, properties, methods, examples, theorems, references, lists of problems, and open questions. Parts of the book may be used for courses or seminars in mathematics or control-theoretic engineering, and its reference guide will serve as a great resource for research projects and academic dissertations on control theory or dynamical systems.

Now we see instabilities, fluctuations, evolution onall levels of observations. This change of perspective requires newtools, new concepts. This volume invites the reader not to anenumeration of final achievements of contemporary science, but toan excursion to science in the making." --from the Foreword by I.Prigogine What are the dynamical roots of irreversibility? How can past andfuture be distinguished on the fundamental level of description? Are human beings the children of time --or its progenitors? Inrecent years, a growing number of chemists and physicists haveagreed that the solution to the problem of irreversibility requiresan extension of classical and quantum mechanics. There is, however,no consensus on which direction this extension should take toinclude the dynamical description of irreversible processes. Resonances, Instability, and Irreversibility surveys recentattempts --both direct and indirect --to address the problem ofirreversibility. Internationally recognized researchers report ontheir recent studies, which run the gamut from experimental tohighly mathematical. The subject matter of these papers falls intothree categories: classical systems with emphasis on chaos anddynamical instability, resonances and unstable quantum systems, andthe general problem of irreversibility. Presenting the cutting edge of research into some of the mostcompelling questions that face contemporary chemical physics,Resonances, Instability, and Irreversibility is fascinating readingfor professionals and students in every area of the discipline.

Control Of Distributed Parameter Systems written by S. P. Banks and has been published by Elsevier this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2014-05-18 with Computers categories.
Control of Distributed Parameter Systems covers the proceedings of the Second IFAC Symposium, Coventry, held in Great Britain from June 28 to July 1, 1977. The book focuses on the methodologies, processes, and techniques in the control of distributed parameter systems, including boundary value control, digital transfer matrix, and differential equations. The selection first discusses the asymptotic methods in the optimal control of distributed systems; applications of distributed parameter control theory of a survey; and dual variational inequalities for external eigenvalue problems. The book also ponders on stochastic differential equations in Hilbert space and their application to delay systems and linear quadratic optimal control problem over an infinite time horizon for a class of distributed parameter systems. The manuscript investigates the semigroup approach to boundary value control and stability of nonlinear distributed parameter systems. Topics include boundary control action implemented through a dynamical system; classical boundary value controls; stability of nonlinear systems; and feedback control on the boundary. The text also focuses on the functional analysis interpretation of Lyapunov stability; method of multipliers for a class distributed parameter systems; and digital transfer matrix approach to distributed system simulation. The selection is a dependable source of data for readers interested in the control of distributed parameter systems.
