Are you ready to become an author yet? If you''re new to fiction writing, this book''s for you! (updated version!) Are you tired of waiting for the novel in your head to magically appear? Tired of being told to "write a little bit a day every day?" How''s that advice working for you? It''s not ... is it? If it was, your novel would be done. But I hear you. When I first learned how to write a novel, that "helpful" information ... wasn''t. I went slowly, writing a little each day like all the authors told me to. Then I''d get disinterested or distracted and my novel would get DEStructed! You''ve listened to the podcasts, taken the writing workshops, read how to write a novel guides, but your novel still isn''t written. Are you still waiting for that "1 hour a day" conventional wisdom to pay off? Let''s face it, it''s a new ballgame for indie authors! A numbers game. The number of books you publish, reviews you get, and downloads you can expect are all partly a function of how much you write-how many books you publish. Conventional "wisdom" is getting us indie authors nowhere. It''s time to take a different approach! Wouldn''t it be great to have something to show for all your hard work? Forget next year! What about sitting down to proofread your first draft next week? That''s what I want to show you how to do, because I''ve been there. In this step-by-step writing workshop-feels more like adrenaline boot camp-Steve Windsor walks you through how he writes novels in 9 "days." With concrete examples of how to apply story structure, outlining, and plotting, you learn to drive your hero through his or her story. You can write a novel in less time than it takes you to need your next haircut. Steve shows you how blockbuster novels and movies use a formula that''s as old as Aristotle to produce hits. Packed with examples! Using examples from his own novels, best selling books... He even makes up a story right before your eyes! Steve is a hands on hardcore writer who will show you just how "easy" it is. Make no mistake, the Nine Day Novel series isn''t for everyone. Some people like pacing themselves on their way to the death of their dreams of becoming an author. Then again, you aren''t them. In this motivational writer''s retreat disguised as a fast-paced writing workshop, you''ll learn: How story structure can help you write faster. Through mainstream examples and Steve''s own brand of "Darth Vader" humor, Nine Day Novel will keep you pumped up to write. And the FREE resources? Inside the Nine Day Novel, you''ll get access to a starter file for one of the most popular writing software packages out there-Scrivener. Rather than spending hours or even days learning and creating a story structure outline, Steve did it for you. There''s not one, but three FREE writing tools to download inside! So whether you are a yet to be discovered bestselling author or a grizzled, coffee-addicted veteran like Steve who is continually sharpening his writing sword, Nine Day Novel-Writing Faster will give you a sharp new edge on your writer''s blade. Don''t let your novel die in your mind because you think you lack the time. I''ll show you how much time you really have. And I''ll give you real advice on how to use that time to write your novel faster than you ever thought possible. Take action, read this book, and faster than your next vacation is over, you will be showing off your brand new novel. Don''t waste another minute, scroll up and click "BUY NOW"!

Congratulations You just finished writing your first novel "What do I do next?" If you're like I was, that was the first question you asked yourself. Do you remember what I said last time? In "Nine Day Novel: Writing?" Steve, I totally remember: You said, "Bravo Pop champagne and..." You remember that part after the champagne about calling someone, right? Your Editor-the Last Line of Defense. But editors cost a lot of money and wouldn't be helpful if we could minimize some of that expense by doing a little bit of editing ourselves? Before we send it off to an expensive professional? Don't make the mistake I did On my first novel, I debated for months between paying an editor and whether I should just "edit" the entire thing myself. After all, how hard it be, right? Predictably, money won out, and I chose poorly, publishing my first book before a professional editor had proofread it. That was a big mistake. That one decision set my writing career back about a year. Why? Because my book languished on Amazon as yet another unprofessional, unfinished and unwanted draft, posing as a completely finished novel. I got discouraged, disappointed and down. It took months before I overcame my fear of what a professional editor would say about my first novel. Because that was the real reason I had edited it myself all along. A great editor will make your novel shine. Picture your reader, trying to follow the fantastic story that you painstakingly outlined, researched and wrote. As they read, their eyes are interrupted by misspellings, grammatical errors, improper word usage and dialogue that's punctuated poorly. Finally, unable to stay engaged through those constant interruptions, they give up and close your book. We're not going to let that happen Your editor will have the single biggest impact on the professional look and feel of your novel. But that doesn't mean we can't do a little bit of "editing" ourselves. In fact, inside this book, I'll show you how you can do quite a bit of self-editing before your draft needs to go to an editor. And that'll save you money. Removing the mystery. To many beginning authors, editing is a mysterious and often misunderstood process. In this book, I'll define the types of editing you need, outline the parts that you can and should do yourself, and then explain the process that your editor will go through as they clean up what's left. No idea where to find an editor? I'll show you how to find a good one on popular freelancing sites. If that doesn't work, I'll give you the contact information of my own editor Then I'll introduce you to a piece of software that'll save you countless hours in turnaround time, working with your editor. And I'll walk you through the steps my writing partner and I use to fix our own drafts before they go to our editor. Editing is much easier if you make fewer mistakes in the first place. Seems simple, right? It should be. For that reason, I felt it was important for this book to have two parts to it: How to clean up what you had already written ... and how to minimize all that cleanup by knowing what and how to write fiction sentences in the first place. So the first half of the book is about editing process and work-flow. And the second half is a refresher course on the very basics of writing fiction sentences. And the bonuses... I created tutorial videos to show you exactly how I've cut Word loose and now collaborate directly with my editors inside Scrivener. So whether you've never worked with an editor before or you just want to save some time, money and headache editing your next draft, I wrote this book for you

Nine Day Novel Outlining written by Steve Windsor and has been published by CreateSpace this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2015-04-15 with categories.

Outlining your novel doesn't have to be hard. But when was the last time you sat down to write with the confidence and true belief that you knew exactly what story you were going to tell? Where do you start your first novel? If you're like I was, you started writing with no idea where your story was headed. Believe me, two books and almost 500,000 words into that "process" I had to stop and re-evaluate my strategy. Now, before I commit the time and energy to pen a 90,000 word novel, I make a map. I wrote these Nine Day Novel books after I realized how difficult it was for new fiction authors to plot, write, edit and publish their first novel. This book is a roadmap to get you beyond the theory and into the practicality of putting words on the page in the right order. Being a commited newbie author isn't easy Some scoffed at me when I said you can write a novel in nine days. Then I sat down and did it ... 4 times. Now, literally thousands have read my book on writing, describing how to carve out time and write faster by using story structure, and the second book, on how to streamline the fiction editing process with Scrivener. But I made a mistake with those first two books!Plenty of you emailed me and told me as much. "Steve, shouldn't you have started with outlining? How am I supposed to write 90,000 words of a story when I have no clue where it's headed?" Though I detailed the Four Part Story Structure inside NDN: Writing, the point was taken-outlining and plotting your novel is a difficult task that deserves a more in-depth discussion. In Nine Day Novel: Outlining I'll detail: - Why you should outline your novel - How to generate ideas and inspiration for your novel - Whether you should weave your own story into your first novel - How to turn your ideas into high concept stories - The top ten novel themes and popular variations of them - How to keep track of settings, vocabulary and characters - How and why you should create multiple summaries for your novel Don't write another book by the seat of your pants. I'll show you a step-by-step, milestone-oriented way to ensure that your hero has a worthy journey before you write the opening line of your novel. I promise you that if you follow the outlining tips, examples and structure in this book, your next novel will get planned and plotted better than it would have otherwise. You'll feel more confident in your story before you start and experience less "writer's block" trying to figure out where to take your hero next. And as always I'll do all of that inside my favorite storytelling structure, the Four Part Story Structure. And, since it's hard for me to imagine writing more efficiently without it, I'll introduce you to my favorite writing software, Scrivener! "The bonuses (for the series) are more than worth the price of the books!" Bonus writing tools like: - Four Part Story Structure starter file as a fill-in-the-blanks Scrivener file. - Editing videos detailing how I self-edit before working with editors right inside Scrivener. - And for this book, a beat-by-beat example outline for Dixxon-Teen Witch, a novella that I'm co-authoring with a newbie fiction writer, outlining it beforehand using this very book. (Also as a Scrivener starter file.) But the real world, real writing advice in these books has helped hundreds re-energize their writing and rekindle their love for storytelling by giving them the tools to write with confidence. All you have to do to get those same results is to read this book. If you're struggling to outline your novel, scroll up and click "BUY NOW!"

Denise Jaden was part of that fraction, writing first drafts of her two published young adult novels during NaNoWriMo. In Fast Fiction, she shows other writers how to do what she did, step-by-step, writer to writer. Her process starts with a prep period for thinking through plot, theme, characters, and setting. Then Jaden provides day-by-day coaching for the thirtyday drafting period. Finally, her revision tips help writers turn merely workable drafts into compelling and publishable novels. For creative fiction writers who are writing their next novel, Novel Writing Prep by USAT bestselling author Monica Leonelle takes you step-by-step through planning your novel over the course of 30 days. You may be wondering, is it possible to write 50,000 words in 30 days without it being a crap draft? Yes! You can write 50,000 good words on your novel in as little as a month, as long as you prepare yourself. After helping thousands of authors develop the skills to hit huge word counts in a short period of time, I’ve found one thing in common across all authors, at all skill levels, from those who have never written a novel to those who publish professionally… This one thing not only helps writers get their book to make sense (and read well!) on paper, but also helps them write it faster in the first place... And it’s simple: You must know what you are going to write before you write it. That’s it! The results? Most writers can at least double their writing speed (some can triple it), meaning they can do twice as many words in the same time period as they were doing before. Additionally, these writers encounter fewer bouts of writer’s block and are more likely to see their book in print down the line. Novel Writing Prep takes you through a simple, flexible, easy-to-implement outlining process that will give you a skeleton of ideas for completing a marathon writing month. And best of all—you can go through all 30 planning prompts in just a few minutes a day over 30 days, or you can complete a pizza-and-netflix-and-writing binge over a weekend. Doesn’t matter your skill level, your writing experience, or how you prefer to write a first draft. For plotters, pantsers, newbies, veterans, and everyone in between—let Novel Writing Prep help you plan your novel before writing it, so you can write an awesome book faster. Are you ready to go all in and say “yes!” to a fun-filled, exciting, productive adventure in writing? The world needs your book! Grab Novel Writing Prep today and make it happen.
