For Rudolf Steiner, Christ's Incarnation and death on Golgotha were central events in earthly and cosmic history. Humankind, he said, would evolve in time toward a spiritual awareness of Christ's presence in creation and the individual would no longer need "institutionalized" religious beliefs. In this concise introduction to Steiner's ideas, the author also describes the Christian Community, which Steiner helped to establish as a movement for Christian renewal. The Christian Community--also called the Movement for Religious Renewal--is an independent church founded in 1922 in Switzerland with the help of Rudolf Steiner. The first American Congregation was founded in New York City in 1948. Further information can be found at the Christian Community website (www.thechristiancommunity.org). This is not only one of the best introductions to the Christian Community and its history, but an excellent introduction to the whole of Rudolf Steiner's worldview known as spiritual science, or Anthroposophy.

God calls together a war council to plan a three prong war to end all evil on Earth and in hell, while protecting Heaven itself. God's goal is to offer forgiveness for those devils, demons and evil Souls to repent and seek forgiveness from God for all their sinful deeds. God also intends to offer Lucifer this same offer. Those Devils, demons, and evil Souls who refuse God's offer will be immediately destroyed. One of God's armies will protect Heaven while the war begins on Earth and in Hell. A second army of various types of Angels will coordinate the attack on Earth. This book is inspired by my experiences in Puerto Vallarta Mexico in the years I lived there. Most of these stories are about my friends. Some of the names of the places and people have been changed. I am not a writer in the true sense, I am a story teller. My friends kept hounding me to put these stories down in writing so I have. I wanted to share what it was like to live a single life, the trials and tribulations that can develop in a foreign country. I must admit that things happen to me that would not necessarily happen to everyone. In the process of healing myself I discovered that there are many forces outside of myself that were working on my behalf, some mortal and some I believe to be ethereal. This book tells many stories that show why I believe that to be true. I realized that if we have a conscious awareness and acceptance of our significance on a daily basis and the affect we have on each other is so important. I hope this book will help others to become more aware of the necessity for their birth and that one person can truly change things for the better.

How God Became God written by Richard M. Smoley and has been published by Penguin this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2016-06-07 with Religion categories.

This epic, thrilling journey through Bible scholarship and ancient religion shows how much of Scripture is historically false--yet the ancient writings also resound with theologies that crisscrossed the primeval world and that direct us today toward a deep, inner, authentic experience of the truly sacred. From a historical perspective, the Bible is shockingly, provably wrong--a point supported by today's best archaeological and historical scholarship but not well understood by (or communicated to) the public. Yet this emphatically does not mean that the Bible isn't, in some very real measure, true, argues scholar of mysticism Richard Smoley. Smoley reviews the most authoritative historical evidence to demonstrate that figures such as Moses, Abraham, and Jesus are not only unlikely to have existed, but bear strong composite resemblances to other Near Eastern religious icons. Likewise, the geopolitical and military events of Scripture fail to mesh with the largely settled historical time line and social structures. Smoley meticulously shows how our concepts of the Hebrew and Christian God, including Christ himself, are an assemblage of ideas that were altered, argued over, and edited--until their canonization. This process, to a large degree, gave Western civilization its consensus view of God. But these conclusions are not cause for nihilism or disbelief. Rather, beneath the metaphorical figures and mythical historicism of Scripture appears an extraordinary, truly transcendent theology born from the most sacred and fully realized spiritual and human insights of the antique Eastern world. Far from being "untrue," the Bible is remarkably, extraordinarily true as it connects us to the sublime insights of our ancient ancestors and points to a unifying ethic behind many of the world's faiths.

The Apocalypse written by Charles H. Talbert and has been published by Westminster John Knox Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1994-01-01 with Religion categories.

In this concise and clearly written commentary, Charles H. Talbert brings to mainline Christians a fresh reading of the book of Revelation, demonstrating that it is not only accessible but relevant for the modern-day Christian. According to Talbert, the primary causes of the marginalized status of the book of Revelation by mainline Christians are threefold--the apparent inaccessibility of its meaning, the seeming impossibility of its pastoral application, and its demonstrated susceptibility to abuse. Talbert ably demonstrates that the book of Revelation was written to help the early Christians avoid assimilation into the larger pagan culture. Talbert also gives full attention to the literature of the Greco-Roman, early Christian, and early Jewish worlds as he examines the more mystical components of the narrative.
