He vented his sentiments against communism and the Jewish people in this document, which was to become Mein Kampf, the controversial book that is seen as the blue-print for Hitler's political and military campaign. In Mein Kampf, Hitler describes his strategy for rebuilding Germany and conquering Europe. It is a glimpse into the mind of a man who destabilized world peace and pursued the genocide now known as the Holocaust.

Il est vrai que l'économie mondiale a déjà subi des crises pétrolières, mais aujourd’hui, les règles ont changé. Le passé n'est plus garant de l'avenir. Depuis plusieurs générations, la croissance économique carbure au pétrole. Nos voitures, nos maisons et notre monde se sont amplifiés grâce au pétrole bon marché. Or, notre monde qui a connu la mondialisation s’apprête aujourd’hui à devenir tout petit. La fin de la mondialisation créera des gagnants et des perdants. Le secteur de l'automobile ne se relèvera jamais de la récession provoquée par le pétrole. Toutefois, d'autres fabricants rouvriront les portes d'usines fermées provisoirement. Le fait de franchir des distances ou de brûler du carbone coûtera bientôt très cher et des emplois que l'on croyait perdus à jamais seront de nouveau offerts. La croissance ne sera peut-être pas aussi soutenue que durant l'ère de la mondialisation, mais les économies locales reprendront de la vigueur.

This bilingual collection illustrates the concept of the 'Warrior of the Imaginary', as defined by Patrick Chamoiseau, in a multi-faceted corpus of texts. Francophone contributions explore the role of the Caribbean writer in works by Chamoiseau, Édouard Glissant, Daniel Maximin, and Joseph Zobel. Essays in English focus not only on familiar writers (Dionne Brand, Edwidge Danticat, Wilson Harris, Jamaica Kincaid, Caryl Phillips, Derek Walcott) but also on less widely studied voices (Robert Antoni, Albert Helman). Other contributions deal with such 'fighting areas' as Afro-Brazilian music, film, and Mutabaruka's militant poetry. The whole testifies to a surprisingly coherent imaginary, one that goes beyond the 'balkanization' of the Caribbean archipelago.
