Den Ausgangspunkt der vorliegenden Untersuchung bildet die Umfrage von Wipf (2009), welche sich auf die Bedrfnisse und Wnsche von Menschen mit Epilepsie und deren Angeh”rigen bezieht. Die Umfrageergebnisse zeigen in Bezug auf die Krankheit einen klaren Bedarf an Aufkl„rungsarbeit an Schulen. Es ist ein groáes Anliegen, Lehr- und Fachpersonen fr diese Krankheit und die daraus folgenden Beeintr„chtigungen fr das Kind zu sensibilisieren und sie auf die Thematik der Epilepsie aufmerksam zu machen. Anhand relevanter Literatur und der Auswertung einer Online-Umfrage ber Epilepsie, durchgefhrt bei Schulischen Heilp„dagogen in den Kantonen Zrich, St. Gallen, Appenzell Inner- und Ausserrhoden, werden die theoretischen Erkenntnisse mit denen der Forschung verglichen und in Form von Leits„tzen zusammengefasst. Im Fazit werden die aus der Diskussion gewonnen Erkenntnisse als Zielformulierungen fr die zuknftige Integration von Kindern mit Epilepsie dargelegt.

Educational assessment seeks to determine just how well students are learning and is an integral part of our quest for improved education. The nation is pinning greater expectations on educational assessment than ever before. We look to these assessment tools when documenting whether students and institutions are truly meeting education goals. But we must stop and ask a crucial question: What kind of assessment is most effective? At a time when traditional testing is subject to increasing criticism, research suggests that new, exciting approaches to assessment may be on the horizon. Advances in the sciences of how people learn and how to measure such learning offer the hope of developing new kinds of assessments-assessments that help students succeed in school by making as clear as possible the nature of their accomplishments and the progress of their learning. Knowing What Students Know essentially explains how expanding knowledge in the scientific fields of human learning and educational measurement can form the foundations of an improved approach to assessment. This book offers a comprehensible overview of the statistical approach called the person-centered method. Instead of analyzing means, variances and covariances of scale scores as in the common variable-centered approach, the person-centered approach analyzes persons or objects grouped according to their characteristic patterns or configurations in contingency tables. This second edition explores the relationship between two statistical methods: log-linear modeling (LLM) and configural frequency analysis (CFA). Both methods compare expected frequencies with observed frequencies. However, while LLM searches for the underlying dependencies of the involved variables in the data (model-fitting), CFA examines significant residuals in non-fitting models. New developments in the second edition include: Configural Mediation Models, CFA with covariates, moderator CFA, and CFA modeling branches in tree-based methods. The new developments enable the use of categorical together with continuous variables, which makes CFA a very powerful statistical tool. This new edition continues to utilize R-package confreq (derived from Configural Frequency Analysis), much updated since the first edition and newly adjusted to the new R base program 4.0. An electronic supplement is now available with 18 R-scripts and many datasets.
