*2016 National Indie Excellence Awards Finalist Whatever your goal in life is, learning how to write most effective e-mails with personal appeals will get you there faster. Your plans, your goals, even your dreams...they are all within reach, many of them are only one (1) e-mail away - one well-written e-mail! E-mail is a tool, just like a hammer. You can take a hammer and nail two boards together or you can build a fantastic tree house. Your only limitation is the amount of energy and efforts you want to put into pursuing your plan(s). This book is a non-fluff, no-nonsense book. You can apply everything you learn as soon as you have finished reading. If at this time you only e-mail homework assignments to your teachers, please expand on it. Write e-mails to influencers and ask them to help you! Maybe you are the president of a school club that is doing a fundraiser for a good cause. E-mail the morning news anchor of your local TV station and request to present your cause on the news! A great e-mail might get the anchor's attention, and he might invite you to talk about your event on the news! This would probably help boost your fundraiser's revenue and at the same time you are adding a phenomenal project to your resume. Maybe you are a blogger and you would like to invite an influencer to guest blog a few lines. Send him an e-mail and ask for it. Maybe you are a programmer who would like to get a summer job or an internship at a specific company rather than working any job that really doesn't interest you or further your career plans. Check out the websites of the corporations you admire; then send an e-mail to their human resources department. You will notice quickly what a great tool e-mail really is. Good e-mails open the doors to wherever you want to go. This book includes a guide how to set up a professional profile on Linkedin. Email evangelist Gisela Hausmann is the author of, "Naked Words 2.0 The Effective 157-Word Email," which was featured in the August edition of the SUCCESS magazine, and the winner of the 2016 Sparky Award "Best Subject Line."

The past two decades have seen a rapid increase in interest in financial inclusion, both from policymakers and researchers. This paper surveys the main findings from the literature, documenting the trends over time and gaps that have arisen across regions, income levels, and gender, among others. It points out that structural, as well as policy-related, factors, such as encouraging banking competition or channeling government payments through bank accounts, play an important role, and describes the potential macro and microeconomic benefits that can be derived from greater financial inclusion. It argues that policy should aim to identify and reduce frictions holding back financial inclusion, rather than targeting specific levels of inclusion. Finally, it suggests areas for future research.

Virtual Teams That Work offers a much-needed, comprehensive guidebook for business leaders and managers who want to create the organizational conditions that will help virtual teams thrive. Each chapter in this important book focuses on best practices and includes case studies and illustrative examples from a wide variety of companies, including British Petroleum, Lucent Technologies, Ramtech, SoftCo, and Whirlpool Corporation. These real-life examples demonstrate how the principles identified in the book play out within virtual teams. Virtual Teams That Work shows how organizations can put in place the structure to help team members who speak different languages and have different cultural values develop effective ways of communicating when there is little opportunity for the members to meet face-to-face. The authors also reveal how organizations can implement performance management and reward systems that will motivate team members to cooperate across multiple boundaries. And they offer the information to determine which technologies best fit a variety of virtual-team tasks and the level of information technology support needed.
