Laura Howard, the woman Nick loves, is also having issues with a psycho twin sister who is doing everything to ruin Laura's business and her life. Then Nick's captain assigns a new case, a suicide. From the moment Nick steps on scene, however, something doesn't feel quite right, especially when, upon investigating the case further, the supposed suicide looks more and more like an actual homicide. Immediately, Nick's instincts kick into gear, but rev into overdrive when similar, questionable suicides pop up around the area. And with the way things have been going lately, it would just be Nick’s luck to have a serial killer on the loose. Gary Berntsen, longtime CIA operative and the field commander who cornered Osama Bin Laden in Afghanistan, writing with award-winning novelist Ralph Pezzullo, offers in this edge-of-the-seat thriller a terrifying vision of where the next threat to America may come from. When a highly placed Iranian intelligence operative walks into a U.S. embassy claiming to possess explosive information, counterterrorism officer Matt Freed is dispatched to interview him and is warned of an impending attack on the United States that could kill millions. But is the man’s story precious truth or calculated fiction? Matt isn’t sure, but with a possible catastrophe looming in less than two weeks, his superiors reluctantly prepare for the assault. Matt can’t leave it alone, though. With questions still lingering about what is really going on, he defies his superiors’ orders and launches his own investigation. As the clock ticks down, he searches frantically for the truth at an Afghan prison under siege, an abandoned Uzbekistan bio weapons facility, and a Moscow hospital where an arms dealer is dying of a mysterious disease. Ultimately, Matt’s efforts brand him an out-of-control renegade, and he finds himself left out in the cold. Yet he may be the only one with the knowledge needed to avert unimaginable chaos. From a counterterrorism warrior who has spent a lifetime thwarting those who would do us harm, The Walk-In is an exhilarating plunge into tradecraft and terror.

Amys story is a most inspiring one to read for anyone going through lifes struggles - one that will give encouragement whatever one may be dealing with. First and foremost, this is an account of a cancer journey; a journal revealing an absolute faith that God is willing to walk the journey alongside of you, all the way! If you are reading this and you are someone setting out on, or already in the middle of, a similar journey, this is an important read for you! Amys story will certainly not hide any of the rough times; but it will tell you about many positive aspects as well, and how faith is the only way to make the trip. This book is not just for cancer sufferers, but also for anyone experiencing lifes many trials, whatever they may be. Amys raw and emotive style tells it just like it is. You will feel the emotion; shed some tears and certainly draw many smiles. There is little more powerful than hearing this story told literally, while experiencing each and every aspect of the journey along with her. The power is in hearing Gods story, as told through Amy, and thats just what this is. You will be encouraged that its okay to have roller coaster emotions, to feel anger, to experience joy, to feel spiritually low and equally high; that its okay to ask why me? Amy is one amazing lady who turned what could have been a very negative experience - focusing on feeling sorry for herself - to one that focuses on making an impact on others. For example - Amy refused to wear a wig once she lost her hair so she would not miss opportunities to testify to others who would otherwise not have approached her. Perhaps most compelling is how many people have told Amy that while they should have been supporting her in keeping a positive attitude, she was in fact being the inspiration for them. I know! I was one of those people! I pray for them every day and I know that they do the same for me. It is this, together with God, that will keep us all positive and moving forward, whatever the challenges of life that are thrown our way.

The Formless Substance written by Rev. Michael A. Long and has been published by BalboaPress this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013-08-01 with Body, Mind & Spirit categories.

Mike brings us back to our inherited spiritual powers and helps us to ignite the miracle of the Holy Ghost and the Christ consciousness in our lives. The book shows us how to recover from our alliance on the lack of spiritual comfort from the law of attraction, or past mental sciences, to discovering the healing power of God’s water, and our ability to achieve spiritual greatness. “I have read metaphysical literature for the past twenty-five years, but Mike Long’s book quite literally breaks the mold and offers something totally unique for readers who are interested in using manifestation to change their lives. Long’s cutting-edge blend of metaphysics and Christianity produces an eye-opening explanation of why so many people are frustrated with what has come to be known as the Law of Attraction. In a world filled with both dark forces and spiritual opportunity, The Formless Substance demonstrates how Mike Long’s life coaching cuts through worn-out New Age rhetoric to bring the explosive, life-changing power of God into a person’s life. Mike’s ‘spiritual workouts’ will begin to change your outlook in a matter of weeks and enable you to achieve true spiritual growth and a more rewarding life in general. This book has my highest recommendation.” —William Hammett, novelist, poet, and critic

'Fascinating ... Connected both to old wisdom and new scientific frontiers of discovery' Lauren Laverne ________________________ 'We can all learn something from 52 Ways to Walk. I know I can.' Michael Ball, BBC Radio 2 ________________________ Walking strengthens our bodies, calms our minds and lifts our spirits. But it does so much more than this. Our vision, hearing, respiration, sleep, cognition, memory, blood pressure, sense of smell and balance are all enhanced by how we walk. For instance: · Walking in cold weather burns extra fat and builds more muscle. · Walking alone strengthens our memories. · Walking in woodland helps us sleep. · And there's nothing more restorative than a romantic nighthike. Our choice of location, time, direction, duration, walking companion and gait, as well as the weather we opt to walk in, can transform our daily stroll. Here, Annabel Streets shares the thrill of 52 different ways to walk, explaining the latest science behind each one, and providing practical tips for making the most of your daily steps. 52 Ways to Walk is a revelatory and informative handbook for anyone stuck in a walking rut, curious about the lesser-known benefits of walking or merely in need of some on-foot novelty and adventure.

Traveling to a secluded farm to meet a man no one has laid eyes on sounded like the start of a bad murder mystery. And yet that’s just what she does. Taylor Scott has finally landed the story that could make her career. Only it comes with a catch. For this story, she has to travel to a farm in Maine to spend time with her subject. It’s the only way the reclusive mystery writer Jonathan Wade will agree to revealing his identity to the public. Even if this is what she needs to launch her career, Taylor has her reservations about the assignment, and who could blame her, given the circumstances? Mike Greene is the man behind the scenes of Jonathan Wade. And though she may not know it, he was instrumental in making sure that Taylor landed the story that would reveal Wade’s true identity. When she arrives at the farm, Taylor is surprised to find Mike, but the two quickly reconnect and an old friendship quickly turns into romance. And the more time they spend together, the less the Jonathan Wade story seems to matter. As lines get blurred and signals get crossed, Taylor will have to make the most important decision of her life: write the story that will make her career or stop the story from ever being printed, all in the name of love. **This book was previously published in 2014 and 2018**
