Why I Didn T Speak To God written by Sam Hwang and has been published by Xlibris Corporation this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-05 with Religion categories.

This book takes you along on a journey to make some sense out of man's history from the biblical days of Adam to present times. Specifically, it is about how the author views religion and along the way to show how religion is man-made and subject to man's whims and emotions, aspirations and vested interests, power and politics. It traces this journey from his baptism to renunciation, Sunday School to Vocation Camp, Roman Catholic to Agnostic, books to Google. It is a story that starts with a walk on the pious side, irregular excursions into the book world, romps in the wilderness, and now traversing the globe on a virtual journey in cyberspace. Like in every walk of life, there are ups and downs, heroes and villains, excitement and frustration. Most importantly, this is a personal exercise to reconstruct what he knows and brings to bear all his experiences, thoughts and beliefs in one single place as pieces of a puzzle. Uppermost is the constant search for the truth, which can often be found only in the spaces between black and white, dark and light, a claim and a lie. It is like mining for gold. As we often come to realise, truth is a funny thing. Sometimes, when we have found it, it is no more alluring. For many others, they cannot handle the stark realisation of their long-cherished but broken faith in what eventually turns out to be a falsity after all. The reader is urged to keep an open mind as a lot in this book may run counter to popular beliefs and widely-held "truths".

ARE YOU TALKING TO ME? How many times have you felt God trying to speak to you and yet you feel like you're hearing nothing? Who hasn't asked, "God, can't you talk louder? I just want to know what to do!" The reality is that all of God's sheep, in every denomination, already hear God's voice--every day! Steve Shultz uncovers the many Scriptures "hidden in plain sight," as he likes to say. These clear, yet often forgotten passages contain easy answers to the questions you've asked, or wish you could ask, about hearing God's voice. Follow the way of love and eagerly desire spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy. ...everyone who prophesies speaks to men for their strengthening, encouragement and comfort (1 Corinthians 14:1, 3 NIV). Learn how you can tune in to what God has to say personally to you! You don't even have to believe in prophecy. It's not the term "prophecy" that's the problem, but how it's defined. The wisdom in this book speaks on a "vulnerable" level through the author's exciting and dramatic real-life stories. The series of questions and answers by themselves made this book worth more than the cost.

After forty-three years of sharing the experiences Ive had since I asked God to forgive me and then invited the Spirit of Christ to come into my life and change it one night while making me a new creature through Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17), Ive come to a disturbing conclusion that I felt needed to be addressed. This conclusion is one that caused me to consider how it is most Christians never have supernatural spiritual experiences like I have although they claim to be the redeemed servants of a totally supernatural invisible being who lives and operates in the supernatural dimension continuously through the Word of God and the Holy Spirit dwelling in the body of believers on the earth. He invites us into that supernatural dimension known as the kingdom of God through his Son Jesus Christ. They along with countless other Christians in America sit and read their Bibles weekly learning about the incredible experiences of other men and women of God, whom they see as spiritual giants, ones that the Lord spoke to occasionally, like Jonah, some more, some considerably less, causing them to write about those experiences in a very matter of fact way, strictly for the benefit of those in the future, who will want to know the God they claim to have met and communicated with. They hear about those things continuously while having their Bible studies, yet they never have one of those incredible experiences themselves, which tells me something is missing in that spiritual relationship. To address that deficiency, Ive chosen to share my own supernatural experiences based on the scriptures that took place over the course of four decades, which some spiritually shallow believers have actually claimed is just eccentric behavior on my part, which, if true, would put the entire gospel message and its promised experiences in serious jeopardy of being seen by myself and others as false for the similarities and incredible claims it contains.

Conversations With God For Teens written by Neale Donald Walsch and has been published by Hampton Roads Publishing this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-10-01 with Body, Mind & Spirit categories.

Suppose you could ask God any question and get an answer. What would it be? Young people all over the world have been asking those questions. So Neale Donald Walsch, author of the internationally bestselling Conversations with God series had another conversation. Conversations with God for Teens is a simple, clear, straight-to-the-point dialogue that answers teens questions about God, money, sex, love, and more. Conversations with God for Teens reads like a rap session at a church youth group, where teenagers discuss everything they ever wanted to know about life but were too afraid to ask God. Walsch acts as the verbal conduit, showing teenagers how easy it is to converse with the divine. When Claudia, age 16, from Perth, Australia, asks, "Why can't I just have sex with everybody? What's the big deal?", the answer God offers her is: "Nothing you do will ever be okay with everybody. 'Everybody' is a large word. The real question is can you have sex and have it be okay with you?" There's no doubt that the casual question-and-answer format will help make God feel welcoming and accessible to teens. Conversations with God for Teens is the perfect gift purchase for parents, grandparents, and anyone else who wants to provide accessible spiritual content for the teen(s) in their lives.
