However he accepted the suggestion of Mein Kampf by Max Amann who was the publisher of Hitler''s book(s). He was so passionate about his thoughts and ideas that he predicted that book will be an instant bestseller and will do for all the expenses of NAZI party in the future. The book was not an instant success as per the records of sales until the year 1931 up to 1933 when Hitler won Chancellorship in Germany. A surge in the sales could be seen thereafter when Hitler already had started distancing himself from his first literary creation, his autobiography, Mein Kampf.He was so submerged and preoccupied with his new status that he started to call it a mistake to write such book that he called "fantasy behind the bars". The tax accrued for Mein Kampf was about 405,500 Reichsmark (About $1.5 Million in 2015) at the time he took up Chancellorship of Germany when his tax debts were written off. By the time he had completed his first year as the chancellor of the Germany Mein Kampf had became an essential component of German social life. PREFÁCIO No dia 1.° de abril de 1924, por força de sentença do Tribunal de Munique, tinha eu entrado no presídio militar de Landsberg sobre o Lech. Assim se me oferecia, pela primeira vez, depois de anos de ininterrupto trabalho, a possibilidade de dedicar-me a uma obra, por muitos solicitada e por mim mesmo julgada conveniente ao movimento nacional socialista. Decidi-me, pois, a esclarecer, em dois volumes, a finalidade do nosso movimento e, ao mesmo tempo, esboçar um quadro do seu desenvolvimento. Nesse trabalho aprender-se-á mais do que em uma dissertação puramente doutrinária. Apresentava-se-me também a oportunidade de dar uma descrição de minha vida, no que fosse necessário à compreensão do primeiro e do segundo volumes e no que pudesse servir para destruiro retrato lendário da minha pessoa feito pela imprensa semítica. His aggressive foreign policy is considered to be the primary cause of the outbreak of World War II in Europe. He directed large-scale rearmament and on 1 September 1939 invaded Poland, resulting in British and French declarations of war on Germany. In June 1941, Hitler ordered an invasion of the Soviet Union. By the end of 1941 German forces and the European Axis powers occupied most of Europe and North Africa. Failure to defeat the Soviets and the entry of the United States into the war forced Germany onto the defensive and it suffered a series of escalating defeats. In the final days of the war, during the Battle of Berlin in 1945, Hitler married his long-time lover, Eva Braun. On 30 April 1945, less than two days later, the two committed suicide to avoid capture by the Red Army, and their corpses were burned. Under Hitler's leadership and racially motivated ideology, the Nazi regime was responsible for the genocide of at least 5.5 million Jews and millions of other victims whom he and his followers deemed Untermenschen ("sub-humans") and socially undesirable. Hitler and the Nazi regime were also responsible for the killing of an estimated 19.3 million civilians and prisoners of war. In addition, 29 million soldiers and civilians died as a result of military action in the European Theatre of World War II.
