Praise from the 1st Edition: "It was a joy reading this book! 5 stars, no question. It left me hopeful to reboot my online business the authentic way. The book provides a great antidote to hustle culture, big money at all costs and manipulative marketing. If you want a sustainable lifestyle and business this book is for you." -Eliza Bulz "This book guides us into a new way of doing business: authentically, incorporating joy and heart and by building trust before making the sale. Each chapter comes with an accompanying video which reinforces the messages contained in the book." -Jakki Francis "After working hard to create my own business online, I was having trouble promoting it consistently. When by chance I came across George Kao's low-key but very helpful advice on how to do marketing from the heart, it turned out to be exactly what I was needing. I was immediately impressed with his soft-spoken authenticity. He was very positive without hype or pressure. As a professional teacher and healer, this kind of authenticity is extremely important to me and I wanted this for my business and my life. In this new book, I have found the kind of advice and practices that make me happy to promote my business as a service to others and myself. George Kao's writing style very readable and engaging, and he provides both the overarching mindset and practical advice to really "get it" and then implement the ideas in my own business practices. It is at once both well-grounded and inspiring with an eye to developing long-term consistency without leading to burnout. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is just starting a business or is ready to re-think their approach to an already established business. Discover the intrinsic pleasure in developing a natural flow and authentic relationship with your service and customers." -Jeffrey Scott "While conventional businesses use fear in subtle and not-so-subtle ways to manipulate potential clients into buying, AUTHENTIC businesses aim to nourish relationships and help others generously. Caring for the well-being of one's audience, not profits, lays the foundation for success. Readers discover numerous practical tips about various aspects of a heart-centered business, including niching, pricing, content creation, marketing and even short-term and long-term business plans. George's down-to-earth writing gently advises entrepreneurs to simplify and focus on the bare essentials, resulting in durable businesses. Overall, I enjoyed Principles of Authentic Business and highly recommend it to anyone wanting to joyfully create a business with a positive impact on the world." -Annie Moussu "This book teaches how to infuse real heart into business, and does it in a way that allows small businesses to offer their work in the world with integrity. Yes, it is work, but this book shows that it can be sustainable, joyful work! If I could have only one business-building book on my shelf, this is it. If you're a wholehearted entrepreneur, your life and work are likely very connected, and the way you do anything is the way you want to do everything." -Marina Francis

Running a business–any business–is a risky proposition. It often seems that we are being buffeted by random variables in the economy and the marketplace that are not only beyond our control, but impossible to foresee with any true certainty. But in the groundbreaking The Natural Laws of Business, businessman and entrepreneur Richard Koch, author of The 80/20 Principle, reveals a unique and remarkably accurate way in which managers and executives can use fundamental principles of science to anticipate and dramatically improve their chances of success. From Newtonian physics and Mendelian genetics to cutting-edge chaos theories, science explains how and why the world–including the business world works the way it does. Now, Richard Koch provides fascinating, completely accessible explanations of key scientific and economic theories, including their history and development. Through real-life examples and practical instructions he shows us how to successfully incorporate these natural laws into daily business decisions. For instance, drawing on four centuries of scientific progress, Koch explains how Darwin’s theory of natural selection can become the key to enhancing a company’s competitive advantage; how Einstein’s theory of relativity can hold the secrets to improving time management; how the insights of evolutionary psychology can help managers improve their relationship with their employees; and how a Plague Theory formula can help predict the impact of technology or product innovation on your business. First published in the United Kingdom, where it has garnered praise from noted academics, critics, and business leaders, The Natural Laws of Business is a groundbreaking, highly insightful examination–for science lovers and business leaders alike--of the essential tools and techniques for analyzing and dealing successfully with the ever-changing business environment of the twenty-first century.

Business Ethics For A New Economy written by Karin C Holstein Phd and has been published by Xlibris Corporation this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-07 with Self-Help categories.

Business Ethics for a New Economy Capitalism "as is" has served us well in the past and produced great wealth, but at a terrible price to the environment. Corporations arrived at the height of their growth and made enormous fortunes by abusing their power and doing business "at all cost". The environment and humankind are paying a high price for "their progress." They have endangered and depleted our vital resources such as our fertile soil and clean water, affected the world economy, and led to instability and conflict in many nations. The world is suffering from a "global burnout." These are all symptoms of the same illness: greed. Corporate greed and corruption have led us into a world crisis. The crisis is not just caused by pollution or the use of technology but represents a crisis of the whole life system. The pollution and destruction of our natural resources are only the symptoms and consequences of the underlying problems. The problem itself is an ethical one. The old ethics in business of I want it now and more does not work anymore, we have seen what is has done to our lives and the economy. We need to create new social value and practice business in such a manner that helps to eradicate poverty and not solely for the sake of our own survival. The B Lab, a nonprofit, has created a new model, the B Corporation, which simultaneously creates social value and will redefine success in business. It is an alternative to traditional corporations, which only maximize profits for shareholders. The B Corporation is a new type of corporation that uses the power of business to solve environmental and social problems. It is a legal structure with higher standards of accountability and transparency. This new way of doing business is the first systemic response to address the underlying problems of our financial crisis. By 2050, an estimated 100 million people will go hungry if we do not find a solution to the food and water shortages. Over 60 percent of the world's population will live in water-stressed areas by 2025, according to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization. Our soil has been destroyed after years of being abused through harmful farm practices and inorganic fertilizers and thus depleted our food resources of essential minerals. Besides ethical reasons to assist poor countries now and in the future, we must keep it our priority if we want to avoid more conflict caused in these regions due to the devastating effects of climate change. Food and water security will lead to increased migration and instability. Interdependence is the driving force of our time. With globalization all the environmental and humanitarian problems in countries far away have also become our problems. We have created them and must face the reality that we need to not just fix' them temporarily but solve them at their root. We need a new economic system- one that is more sustainable than our old system, which has failed. Our society is interlocked with the rest of the world through business and environmental interests, and we have a common interest to cooperate. We need a "greening of capitalism." The answer to creating a new business model- which profits society, as well as shareholders- is in establishing a B Corp known as a Benefit Corporation. Blurb from Esquire:" B corps might turn out to be like civil rights for blacks or voting for women- eccentric, unpopular ideas that took hold and changed the world."

Integrate written by Mervyn King and has been published by Juta and Company Ltd this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013 with Business & Economics categories.

Integrate is an easy read guide for people in business about the new way of thinking in running a company today. Businesses, large and small, have the same issues to contend with: greater expectations of their stakeholders, rising consumer power in the digital information age, environmental constraints, economic uncertainty in the aftermath of the global financial crisis, and social uncertainty on rising income inequality. Doing business today is quite different from the past. Different corporate tools are needed. One of the four corporate tools for today's business is integrated thinking. This extends strategy and daily management beyond the pure financial to encompass the social and environmental factors that deeply affect a company's future viability in the 21st century. Integrated thinking leads to another tool - the integrated report. This tells the company's story of how it creates value and how it can create value in the future. The global financial crisis showed that a more understandable and holistic form of company reporting is crucially needed. This book offers practical guidance on integrated thinking and the integrated report.
