Silvia Lane foi talvez o mais importante nome da Psicologia Social do Brasil. Professora da PUC de São Paulo por 40 anos, participou ativamente da criação da Associação Brasileira de Psicologia Social, entidade que reúne psicólogos sociais e apoia o avanço desse campo de saber. Também, os Programas de Mestrado e Doutorado em Psicologia Social da PUC de SP contaram para sua concretização com a atuação incansável da notável professora. Dentre as suas maiores contribuições, contudo, destacam-se os conceitos formulados para a compreensão do sujeito da ação humana, vivendo em sociedade, produto e produtor de história. Silvia denominou seu trajeto intelectual de os "Caminhos Percorridos". O primeiro "Caminho" foi a Psicologia da linguagem: por que razão falamos o mesmo idioma, mas não nos entendemos? Diversas pesquisas foram conduzidas na tentativa de responder a essa pergunta. O segundo "Caminho" reúne textos que nos remetem a uma reflexão crítica da Psicologia Social do cotidiano. Para Silvia, o homem não é apenas biológico; seu organismo é a infraestrutura que permite o desenvolvimento de uma superestrutura social que é histórica. O terceiro "Caminho", alvo de pesquisas e textos diversos, foi a Psicologia Comunitária. Essa fase do trabalho é marcada por épocas difíceis de repressão militar no Brasil e em vários países da América Latina, levando a Psicologia Social a contribuir com mudanças na consciência da população por meio da atuação junto às comunidades. Silvia dedica seu quarto "Caminho" ao estudo dos grupos sociais que considera uma das mediações fundamentais entre indivíduo e sociedade Finalmente, o quinto "Caminho" foi dedicado ao estudo das emoções e contou com as pesquisas de Bader Sawaia e as contribuições de Yara Araujo, concluindo que "as emoções são tanto quanto, ou mais, importantes que a linguagem e os grupos sociais aos quais pertencemos, na constituição do psiquismo". E como é um livro de História, contamos o percurso relendo com Silvia autores indicados por ela, mostramos os fatos da vida social e política do Brasil que permearam seu percurso, falamos da história da Psicologia no Brasil e, também, da PUC de São Paulo.

This book examines the topic of identity and collective memory in football fandom. Drawing on global research in history, sociology and political science, the book looks at how, where and why football fans and supporters’ groups introduce particular role models into their self-identity and performative narratives. The book presents original, cutting-edge research that illustrates the complex, multidimensional nature of the (re-)formulation of collective memory and the elevation of role models.
