Der organisatorische Wandel von traditionellen Vorgehensweisen im Bereich des Software-Engineering hin zu Scrum und die damit notwendigen Änderungen von Gewohnheiten und Arbeitsweisen werden höchstwahrscheinlich bei vielen Mitarbeitern auf Widerstand stoßen, so dass das Vorhaben als riskant beschrieben werden kann und dessen Umsetzung geplant und gezielt gesteuert werden sollte. Aktuell existiert kein integratives Vorgehensmodell, welches eine Einführung von Scrum in Großunternehmen beschreibt und zeitgleich einen organisatorischen Wandel angemessen berücksichtigt, so dass hier Nachholbedarf besteht. Auf Basis des Änderungsmanagement-Modells 'Eight-Stage Process' von John P.
