La totalidad de los capítulos ha sido ampliante revisada y actualizada y se han incluido nuevas fotografías de disección, ilustraciones anatómicas e imágenes de radiodiagnóstico. Nueva edición del atlas fotográfico por excelencia que armoniza las mejores imágenes anatómicas de disección con la simplicidad y claridad de los dibujos esquemáticos que las acompañan. Edición tras edición, objetivo de la obra siguen siendo el de apoyar al estudiante hacia un correcto diagnóstico, basándose en el conocimiento que necesariamente debe adquirir sobre el especímen anatómico para la correcta evaluación e interpretación de las imágenes que obtenga por TC, RMN, etc. La novedad más destacable, es sin duda la nueva organización de capítulos. El abordaje sigue siendo regional, pero ahora el índice de contenidos presenta 3 grandes secciones: -Anatomía general y sistema musculoesquelético; -Órganos internos, -Cabeza, cuello y encéfalo. En ellos se agrupan los 9 capítulos siguiendo un orden lógico según los planos de disección. Por otro lado, en la nueva edición se han incorporado nuevas fotografías de disección, imágenes de radio-diagnóstico e ilustraciones anatómicas. Finalmente, el libro incluye yn Apéndice en el que se encuentran tablas resumen de músculos, vasos y nervios.
