C?mo publicar si a?n es un autor desconocido Para que su libro sea editado por una editorial tradicional, debe saber que en principio no debe pagar nada de su bolsillo, aunque tampoco tiene ninguna garant?a de que se vaya a publicar. Estos son los pasos a seguir: Escribir lo que en estos momentos a?n se denomina un manuscrito. Presentar el ejemplar a un concurso literario que premie al ganador con la publicaci?n del libro. Enviar una copia a otras editoriales. Presentar el manuscrito a un agente literario. Si opta por la autoedici?n, este es el proceso que debe seguir: Tener en cuenta que la mayor?a de estas editoriales se hallan en Internet. Una vez que se ponga en contacto con la que m?s le convenza verifique su direcci?n postal, que la mayor?a debe tener, y antes de pagar trate de mantener una entrevista personal con alg?n miembro de la empresa. Si no es posible, aseg?rese de que le den las suficientes garant?as de que su manuscrito se va a publicar de acuerdo a sus intereses y gustos. Ser precavido y no pagar m?s de 1.000 euros, ya que algunas son 'empresas fantasma' y pueden llegar a cobrar hasta 3.000 euros. Valorar los 'paquetes' que ofrecen. Precios de una edici?n 'alternativa': Paquete b?sico: Cuesta unos 1.200 euros, aunque en algunas empresas lo reducen hasta los 700 euros si el mismo autor dise?a la portada y el interior del libro. Con este coste se financia tambi?n el pago del c?digo necesario para la venta p?blica del libro y los derechos de autor (ISBN).
