This book is written with the intention to underline the fact that India - a country that is more commonly referred to as the "country of youth" - the challenges that it has in hand and the ways in which we can combat these challenges. Social media has emerged as a platform where young Indians have taken to, express their views on political issues and social issues. It has gradually become a place of many discussions, where views and counterviews are presented and what this makes for – is a much more aware and willing “young India”. The very first step towards solving any problem is, realizing there is one – and the “young India” has taken that very step. Through this book, I look to bring about some perspective as to where we could possibly be going wrong and subsequently, where we could possibly put our young bright Indian minds into a much effective use. If we can have young minds from India making inroads in the IT and technology sector then why not in the political arena? If Italy can have a prime minister aged just 39, then why can't India have a system similar, where the young Indians could climb up the ladder of success in politics and still be under 40? The average age of an Indian politician is 65 years however the average age of an Indian is 24 years, there’s a contradiction between the two and if the perfect mix of experience and youth could merge into one and run the politics of India –the future then definitely beholds a much more ideal India, the very India that our forefathers dreamt of. The young India is seeking a change and a change is a due process which takes time but it’s the initiatives from individuals that matter. The dream of our forefathers to have an India that is "perfect" hasn't as of yet been accomplished. From corruption to cleanliness, we've got array of issues at hand which must be sought to make the dream of a "perfect" India come true. The young Indians are willing for a change to take place and this book highlights some very such moments from the decade gone by, where the young Indians have come forward and stood for what's right. Further, this book also examines as to how this "young India" has all the potentials to be the "best.generation.ever".

Born during the Great Depression and World War Two (1929–1945) an entire generation has slipped between the cracks of history. These Lucky Few became the first American generation smaller than the one before them, and the luckiest generation of Americans ever. As children they experienced the most stable intact parental families in the nation’s history. Lucky Few women married earlier than any other generation of the century and helped give birth to the Baby Boom, yet also gained in education compared to earlier generations. Lucky Few men made the greatest gains of the century in schooling, earned veterans benefits like the Greatest Generation but served mostly in peacetime with only a fraction of the casualties, came closest to full employment, and spearheaded the trend toward earlier retirement. Even in retirement/old age the Lucky Few remain in the right place at the right time. Here is their story, and the story of how they have affected other recent generations of Americans before and since.

The Greatest Generation written by Tom Brokaw and has been published by Random House this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2010-09-30 with History categories.

In this superb book, Tom Brokaw goes out into America, to tell through the stories of individual men and women the story of a generation - America's citizen heroes and heroines who came of age during the Great Depression and the Second World War and went on to build modern America. This was a generation united by common values - by duty, honour, courage, service and love of family and country. Here you'll meet people like Charles Van Gorder, who set up during D-Day a MASH-like medical facility in the middle of the fighting, and then came home to create a clinic and hospital in his hometown. You'll hear ex-President George Bush talk about how, as a Navy Air Corps combat pilot, one of his assignments was to read the mail of the enlisted men under him, to be sure no sensitive military information would be compromised. You'll meet Trudy Elion, winner of the Nobel Prize in medicine, one of the many women in this book who found fulfilling careers in the changed society as a result of the war. And you'll meet Martha Putney, one of the first black women to serve in the newly formed WACs. In the spirit of Band of Brothers, The Greatest Generation tells the stories of ordinary men and women caught up in extraordinary events - individuals united by a common purpose - working, living and dying in the service of their country.

Could The Millennials Generation Be The Greatest Ever? By: Raymond Kleier About the Author When Mr. Kleier was six years old, and his brother was four years old, the motto, or the culture was: “Kids should be seen and not heard.” Every Tuesday evening, their Paw-Paw would bring two of his sons with him to play Pinochle with their dad. The siblings respected his wishes and beliefs. So, they sat with their backs up against the wall, their legs laying flat on the floor, under their chairs (very small area). They had a school tablet and #2 pencils and wrote notes to each other, making fun of their conversations. They had more fun, choking back laughter, than the card players. Evidently it was at that time, that Mr. Kleier got the itch to write stories. In 2007, he wrote a book about his three brothers growing up in Schnitzelburg, a town with a very heavy population of German immigrants. Mr. Kleier befriended a historian professor at the University of Louisville. The professor helped him with the history of Schnitzelburg and told Mr. Kleier to let him see the finished copy of the book, The Four Kleier Boys of Schnitzelburg. That book, a hardback coffee table book, is now sitting on the shelf at the Special Records and Archives of the University of Louisville's Ecstrum Library. Mr. Kleier then contacted the powers at The Louisville Free Public Library. A copy of that same book is now sitting on a shelf at The Louisville Free Public Library. In 2018, Mr. Kleier wrote another book, What has happened to MY world living in Schnitzelburg?

What Did The Baby Boomers Ever Do For Us written by Francis Beckett and has been published by Routledge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2016-03-22 with History categories.

First published in 2010, this book explores the legacy of the baby boomers: the generation who, born in the aftermath of the Second World War, came of age in the radical sixties where for the first time since the War, there was freedom, money, and safe sex. In this book, Francis Beckett argues that what began as the most radical-sounding generation for half a century turned into a random collection of youthful style gurus, sharp-toothed entrepreneurs and management consultants who believed revolution meant new ways of selling things; and Thatcherites, who thought freedom meant free markets, not free people. At last, it found its most complete expression in New Labour. The author argues that the children of the 1960s betrayed the generations that came before and after, and that the true legacy of the swinging decade is in ashes.

NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • A heartwarming gift for the holidays—a powerful selection of the letters Tom Brokaw received in response to his towering #1 bestseller The Greatest Generation. “When I wrote about the men and women who came out of the Depression, who won great victories and made lasting sacrifices in World War II and then returned home to begin building the world we have today—the people I called the Greatest Generation—it was my way of saying thank you. But I was not prepared for the avalanche of letters and responses touched off by that book. I had written a book about America, and now America was writing back.”—Tom Brokaw In the phenomenal bestseller The Greatest Generation, Tom Brokaw paid affecting tribute to those who gave the world so much—and who left an enduring legacy of courage and conviction. The Greatest Generation Speaks collects the vast outpouring of letters Brokaw received from men and women eager to share their intensely personal stories of a momentous time in America’s history. Some letters tell of the front during the war, others recall loved ones in harm’s way in distant places. They offer first-hand accounts of battles, poignant reflections on loneliness, exuberant expressions of love, and somber feelings of loss. As Brokaw notes, “If we are to heed the past to prepare for the future, we should listen to these quiet voices of a generation that speaks to us of duty and honor, sacrifice and accomplishment. I hope more of their stories will be preserved and cherished as reminders of all that we owe them and all that we can learn from them.”

Generational thinking, when used correctly, provides a solid framework for successful marketing and product innovation. Generation ZAlpha, as introduced by Maarten Leyts, deals with the microgeneration of children born between 2008 and 2013, standing at the interface between Generation Z, the digital natives, and Generation Alpha, the children who grew up with the iPad. His book describes the (in)betweens; they are no longer children but not yet teenagers, growing up in the midst of the pandemic. Gen ZAlpha experienced the health crisis during their early adolescence, a phase of significant physical, psychological and social changes, when parents suddenly worked from home, numerous (financial) insecurities surfaced and online classes and activities became the norm. Virtual playgrounds like Minecraft, Fortnite and Roblox became the places for social interaction. The impressions of the pandemic partly influence how Generation ZAlpha look to the future and what expectations they have in terms of learning, shopping and entertainment. ZAlphas are the virtual natives , young people who during the pandemic embraced technology as a facilitator for their productivity and creativity. They grow up with Anime and K-Pop, Metaverses, XR, QR, holograms, virtual people, AI, and inform and relax through Kidfluencers and Kidpreneurs on Youtube, TikTok, Snapchat and Instagram. The work brings a wealth of information for anyone who wants to better understand, reach and engage Gen Z, ZAlpha and Alpha. They constitute a sizable and globally best-educated generation ever, are co-creative, global and inclusive, climate activist and technologically pro-creative. Generation ZAlpha, connecting with the next microgeneration provides a significant amount of information for brands, companies, retailers and educational institutions seeking to understand the ever-changing youth culture and evolving media preferences. "There's an expression, 'Blame it on the youth.' But Maarten presents everything decision-makers need to understand to engage the next generation effectively and empathetically. Otherwise, you can't blame it on them..." - Brian Solis, Futurist and Best-Selling Author "Maarten Leyts is both a scholar and an advocate of how kids reshape the narrative for what becomes adopted, rejected and ultimately mainstream." - Katryna Dow, CEO and Founder of Meeco "Children are the future. So to understand our youth, is to understand our future. Even more so, as children born today will live to be 104. How will they look back at the age of 30? Maarten is passionate about and deeply invested in youth culture. His book teaches you everything you need to know about next gen and hence tomorrow." - Jorg Snoeck, Founder Retaildetail.eu and Best-Selling Author "Maarten deftly captures different younger generations (Gen Z, Gen ZAlpha and Gen Alpha) spirits, charting a future where technology serves as both a challenge and a catalyst for profound societal transformation." - Aouadi Fakhreddine, Head Of Unit, (Innovation, Intranet and Digital Solutions) European Parliament "Whether you're in Business, Education, Banking & Finance, Public Services or Politics, read 'Generation ZAlpha' and run to revise your strategy." - Annalie Killian, Sparks & Honey, New York "Generation ZAlpha offers marketers insights to a socially conscious, entrepreneurial and diverse young generation – an endeavor that takes curiosity, courage and humility. Maarten Leyts strikes the right balance between marketing effectiveness and the immense responsibility that comes with engaging with children." - Rebecka Allén, Director of Consumer Policy, World Federation of Advertisers em"Generation ZAlpha is a compelling piece of insights on new generations where we might wonder if we can ever keep up with them. Marketing to Millennials is both an enlightening look at this generation of spend-happy consumers and a practical plan for earning their trust and loyalty. The jokes at the Millennials’ expense are plenty, but not nearly as much as the $200 billion in buying power they now wield as they enter their peak earning and spending years. Love it or loathe it, you are doing business in their domain now, and your future depends on your ability to successfully connect with them. Based on original market research, this book reveals the eight attitudes shared by most Millennials, including how they: Value social networking and aren't shy about sharing opinions Refuse to remain passive consumers but expect to participate in product development and marketing Demand authenticity and transparency Are highly influential, swaying parents and peers Are not all alike; therefore, understanding key segments is invaluable Complete with expert interviews of those doing Millennial marketing right, as well as the new rules for engaging this increasingly vital generation successfully, Marketing to Millennials is the key to persuading the customers who will determine the bottom line for decades to come.
