Life is difficult for many people who face great dilemmas. For them life can be a blur. However, this statement will be quite literal when you only put yourself in my shoes. For years now, I have suffered. During my teenage years, I was diagnosed with an untreatable nerve condition that tragically made me lose my sight within a spec of time. Since then, I had to learn to adapt to my new way of living - as a young blind adult. Finishing school, moving on to university, and doing things I love most. Difficult, yet I learn to manage. I experienced many a moment where I thought I could not cope anymore. I could not do it. But I rose again and tried my hardest. The blind journey took me through an unknown path as I learned ways of living a life unlike the one of an average person, but it also gave me a new perspective on the world. Now, all I can hope for is that the blurry future that is ahead of me is a joyful one. Experience my adventure with me and see my story through my eyes.

Julie Crenshaw learns early in life the hypocritical nature of small townsfolk who makes everybody’s business their own. Julie’s (at the age of ten) reactions to the death of her beloved brother who was killed in war left everyone utterly amazed and they began to avoid her as if she had been stricken with leprosy. She doesn’t understand her reactions but can’t afford to question them or tell anyone how she feels. She begins to shelter her emotions and takes on a superficial, casual attitude towards life. She can’t wait to leave Pineland. To escape small-town life, she goes to New York City, where people mind their own business; but soon discovers that the problems of living in New York are just as complex as sophisticated.

“If John Berger’s Ways of Seeing is a classic of art criticism, looking at the ‘what’ of art, then David Salle’s How to See is the artist’s reply, a brilliant series of reflections on how artists think when they make their work. The ‘how’ of art has perhaps never been better explored.” —Salman Rushdie How does art work? How does it move us, inform us, challenge us? Internationally renowned painter David Salle’s incisive essay collection illuminates these questions by exploring the work of influential twentieth-century artists. Engaging with a wide range of Salle’s friends and contemporaries—from painters to conceptual artists such as Jeff Koons, John Baldessari, Roy Lichtenstein, and Alex Katz, among others—How to See explores not only the multilayered personalities of the artists themselves but also the distinctive character of their oeuvres. Salle writes with humor and verve, replacing the jargon of art theory with precise and evocative descriptions that help the reader develop a personal and intuitive engagement with art. The result: a master class on how to see with an artist’s eye.

Sticks and bones, and dislocated homes. And parasites, and insights, And just let me make it to the mic. And you will see, There is a real mystery, To life, to love, to longevity. The poem above was written during recess, at a chartered school where I was employed as a General Assistant. Nestled behind Brick Church Pike was Smithson Craighead Academy’s playground. Amongst the future Gen Alphas, and Thornburgs; the poem took flight. Sometimes, the external, and internal exploits of life are exactly as they seem.

We are just like you. We've faced tragedy: some the result of bad decisions, others just a part of living in this sinful world, but no matter what, we faced the Word. We didn't always get it right, but God did. Through our various trials, God was faithful to reveal more of Himself, and much of what He revealed was how traditional preaching was a roadblock to our ability to walk in the fullness of His covenant.Meet Karen. Married for over thirty years to a good man, a good man who didn't believe in God, it was only after his death that she learned from her mistakes in an unequally yoked relationship. If you have an unsaved loved one—spouse, parent, child—her mistakes could save you from making your own! Meet Judy. She was married to the love of her life, living in their dream home, and enjoying life with her family. When her life appeared to follow the same path as Job's with tragedy following tragedy, she learned an important lesson, a lesson we all need to learn. Although in different ways, Karen and Judy overcame seemingly impossible situations. Their stories will give hope and inspiration in God's faithfulness and love as you learn How to Not See What You're Looking At: Walking By Faith and Not By Sight.

Never Look Back is a chilling and compelling debut crime thriller from Clare Donoghue set in South East London. For all those who enjoy Peter James, Mark Billingham and Peter Robinson. Three women have been found brutally murdered in south London, the victims only feet away from help during each sadistic attack. And the killer is getting braver . . . Sarah Grainger is rapidly becoming too afraid to leave her house. Once an outgoing photographer, she knows that someone is watching her. A cryptic note brings everything into terrifying focus, but it's the chilling phone calls that take the case to another level. DI Mike Lockyer heads up the regional murder squad. With three bodies on his watch, and a killer growing in confidence, he frantically tries to find the link between these seemingly isolated incidents. What he discovers will not only test him professionally but will throw his personal life into turmoil too.
