Ce document présente les traitements utilisés pour généraliser et convertir en mode vectoriel les cartes des milieux humides de 1990 à 2002 produites par le Centre Saint-Laurent, en vue de leur utilisation dans un service de cartographie Internet. Le mode vectoriel est privilégié principalement pour ses meilleures possibilités de requêtes comparé aux cartes originales en mode matriciel. Étant donné le nombre et le niveau de détail des cartes originales, une généralisation à la fois thématique et spatiale a été effectuée afin de simplifier et d'optimiser leur utilisation dans Internet. Divers traitements (réalisés avec le logiciel ArcView 9.1) ont donc été effectués dans ce but et sont décrits dans le présent document.
