Tutti stiamo tirando le somme del lockdown e l’attenzione è focalizzata principalmente su temi economici e di salute, trascurando l’aspetto legato alle emozioni e alla socialità. Rapporti e i sentimenti nei mesi di isolamento sociale hanno inequivocabilmente subìto una profonda modifica: alcuni possono aver trovato vantaggio nel passare molto tempo con la propria famiglia o avere del tempo in più da dedicare agli amici, anche solo per telefono; altri invece potrebbero aver avuto la prova definitiva della fine di un rapporto, che non ha retto alla quotidianità e alla convivenza. Alcuni non potranno riabbracciare più un loro affetto perché deceduto durante il lockdown. Come fare per tornare alla normalità se non si è avuta la possibilità di elaborare il lutto e concedere a se stessi la catarsi del dolore? Come si vive fingendo che tutto sia come prima, ma con un fantasma accanto? Molti però sono fortunati, non hanno perso nessuno e possono vedere tutte le persone che amano. Ci chiediamo se sarà ancora possibile specchiarci e ritrovarci nei volti dei nostri cari, ora oscurati dalle mascherine. Nonostante l’iper-connessione ognuno di noi ha maturato nuovi pensieri e idee, nella sua solitudine e potrebbe ritrovarsi ad avere opinioni opposte agli amici di sempre: riusciremo ad andare oltre la divergenza di opinioni in nome dei sentimenti, a condividere il nostro vissuto profondo e a ritrovarci con noi stessi e con gli altri? Ora che ci si può riavvicinare realmente alle persone emerge anche la paura più inammissibile, non quella verso gli sconosciuti che si incontrano quotidianamente, ma verso i propri cari, che si possono rivedere e contagiare, ma che a loro volta potrebbero essere un pericolo per noi. Avere paura delle persone che si amano è la più recondita delle paure, sarebbe come avere paura di una parte di se stessi, di ciò che si ama, è come sentirsi strattonati avanti e indietro, con il cuore che si avvicina ma con la testa che indietreggia. Siamo, senza dubbio, vicini e lontani. Davide, musicista 70enne, chiamato il Maestro, perde la memoria dopo aver subìto un furto e dopo che la moglie Daniela se ne è andata inspiegabilmente. Per cercare di trovare sua moglie e il ladro del suo passato assolda uno strano investigatore, Testa (imparentato a suo dire con gli aquiloni) il quale, dopo aver raccolto informazioni inutili ai fini dell’indagine, decide di rivolgersi all’Arcangelo Gabriele perché lo aiuti a fare un viaggio nel passato di Davide e di sua moglie. Chiede che gli faccia da guida (per intercessione dell’Arcangelo incontrato una notte in cima al campanile di San Marco a Venezia) il Tempo, un’entità costituita da un cappuccio e un mantello, entrambi assolutamente vuoti. Accompagnato da questo Virgilio, Testa risale le rotaie del tempo fino al 1962 e assiste ad alcuni episodi della vita dei coniugi: il primo approccio amoroso, i litigi, lo sfratto dalla prima casa, la malattia iniziale di Daniela, le sue assenze mentali dovute a una leggera forma di epilessia. L’investigatore, grazie alle sue facoltà, fa visita all’interno dei cervelli di Davide e Daniela, destreggiandosi in mezzo a foreste di neuroni. In qualche modo “dialoga” a senso unico con il Tempo, il quale lentamente va prendendo forme orribilmente umane. Tornati al presente senza importanti indizi in tasca, il sospetto di Testa cade sul Tempo ma alla fine di un inseguimento notturno per le calli di Venezia, quest’ultimo confessa di non essere lui il ladro del passato ma di essere semplicemente la Befana della Morte. Di lì a breve un episodio chiarirà tutta la vicenda e il delicato finale è a sorpresa. Maurizio Piccoli (Venezia, 1948) è giornalista e compositore pop di chiara fama (Mia Martini, Bertè, Mannoia, Zero, Vanoni, ecc.). Si è dedicato solo recentemente alla scrittura di storie con elementi fantasy
