Guadalajara, Mexico 1875-1964). Atl was a man of multiple talents. His literary texts and amateur explorations in geology and astronomy generated epistemological synergies with his painting, by zeroing in on a specific object of study: the fascinating metamorphosis of the planetœs lithosphere and atmosphere, in the diminutive territory circumscribed by the Mexican highlands.
