Esse livro relata no seu início a morte dos meus dois filhos queridos, que partiram ainda jovens e, aos poucos, vai descrevendo todas as implicações de uma sala de espera na vida do ser humano. Escrito após a morte de Jéfferson Rodrigo Costa Bueno, em julho de 2021, por Covid-19, este livro traz em si experiências fortes e relata toda a caminhada por um deserto, enquanto se espera por milagres e por respostas. É notório que a pandemia trouxe consigo sofrimento, separação de famílias, abandono e insegurança para o mundo inteiro, e que muitas famílias também sofrem com o luto de pessoas amadas, daí, a necessidade de fazer chegar até elas o abraço comum, o sentir a dor do outro e palavras de ânimo e de esperança, onde só se vê janelas embaçadas pelos dias nublados das almas aflitas. Percebe-se uma conscientização maior sobre a brevidade da vida e a fragilidade do homem em relação a isto. Este é o momento oportuno para que se levantem vozes, através da arte da escrita, que chamem o homem à razão, que o faça redimensionar as suas prioridades, mostrando, mesmo através das entrelinhas, que todo este sofrimento que afetou milhares de famílias, não pode resultar no esfriamento espiritual, no desamor e no conformismo(é apenas mais um). É de suma importância que se reconheça que não somos donos deste barco chamado vida e que somos peregrinos errantes, frágeis e humanos em nossas fraquezas e que dependemos totalmente de Deus. Além da minha experiência com dois lutos de filhos, relatada de forma resumida, o livro traz em si, por meio de capítulos pequenos, opiniões pessoais da autora, consolidadas por textos reflexivos e poemas que retratam os sentimentos aperfeiçoados e produzidos numa sala de espera; o livro traz, ainda, alguns depoimentos de pessoas que também conviveram com o luto.
