PREFACEI have often wondered why so many people on earth have chosen spiritual darkness instead of spiritual light and some do not care whether there is darkness or light. Why is it that so many people in our society live without restraint? And very many who are already born of God appear uncertain about how to conduct themselves to God's pleasing! This book is written with those who are already new creatures or new persons in Christ Jesus in mind, to deepen their faith and especially to share with them the various ways God, the Father conducts Himself so that it will be a lot easier for them to imitate Him as He has commanded. For them, part three of this book dealing on "The principles and practice of the new creation life" covering thirty-three moral attributes of God - become, hopefully, a compelling study. Certain gaps in faith will surely be filled. As the Spirit of God is already in them they will readily cherish the many discoveries or revelation from the Manual - the Bible which the author gladly and humbly presents in this little book. There is ammunition for the evangelist. The shepherd will find abundant nourishment for his flock. The teacher will concur and appreciate - more talk to give. This book may well pass as the believer's companion. The book will be of special interest to those who have not made up their minds to experience the presence of God in their lives. This book will serve as the tonic you have been waiting for; it will not fail to ginger you up to make a clean break from your past. And those who have not given the new birth a thought or enough consideration; here, is an eye-opener for you. You will see clearly what your spiritual condition is now and you will obviously be challenged to wake up and shake off those beliefs that have no root in the God of truth. You will see for yourself that which is the truth about your existence now and you will gladly step on the bridge and cross over to the family of God. Neither you nor your friend or foe will be able to persuade you to remain as you have been because your eyes will be opened to see what you and they have never seen before. As you are intelligent enough to understand all that is presented in this book you will be intelligent enough to take the right decision - to believe God whole-heartedly and yield to His lordship.I guarantee that no mortal will be able to present any logic that will be sensible enough to dissuade you to choose any other thing but the truth. I pray that you will do a diligent study of this work and that the good Lord will come to your aid, steadying your eyes on the light that makes all the difference in a man's life - bringing you to partake of the nature of God.Happy reading.Ernest Chukwuma Nliam.

The Human Being The World And God written by Anne L.C. Runehov and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2016-09-26 with Philosophy categories.

This book offers a philosophical analysis of what it is to be a human being in all her aspects. It analyses what is meant by the self and the I and how this feeling of a self or an I is connected to the brain. It studies specific cases of brain disorders, based on the idea that in order to understand the common, one has to study the specific. The book shows how the self is thought of as a three-fold emergent self, comprising a relationship between an objective neural segment, a subjective neural segment and a subjective transcendent segment. It explains that the self in the world tackles philosophical problems such as the problem of free will, the problem of evil, the problem of human uniqueness and empathy. It demonstrates how the problem of time also has its place here. For many people, the world includes ultimate reality; hence the book provides an analysis and evaluation of different relationships between human beings and Ultimate Reality (God). The book presents an answer to the philosophical problem of how one could understand divine action in the world.

A Biblical Perspective on What It Means to Be Human This major work by a widely respected Old Testament scholar and theologian unpacks a biblical perspective on fundamental questions of what it means to be human. J. Gordon McConville explores how a biblical view of humanity provides a foundation for Christian reflection on ethics, economics, politics, and church life and practice. The book shows that the Old Testament's view of humanity as "earthed" and "embodied" plays an essential part in a well-rounded Christian theology and spirituality, and applies the theological concept of the "image of God" to all areas of human existence.

The Bible, one of the greatest works of the world, encompasses the story of creation, the history of the nation of Israel, the record of God’s relationship with the Israelites (also referred to as Hebrews or Jews), the laws and guidelines for worship given by God ( Jehovah) to his children, and in the New Testament, the life and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth. Biblical writings take many forms, including legends, proverbs, poems, genealogies and biographies. However, the contents of the Bible consistently center around one theme; namely, the unavoidable lessons humans must learn in life regarding their relationship with God. In Genesis, the first book of the Bible, we find one of the most compelling narratives ever told in this world: the story of the creation of the first two humans, Adam and Eve. Later, at the instigation of Satan, represented by the serpent, Adam and Eve willfully violate God’s rule, eat the forbidden fruit and are thus banished from Paradise. According to Supreme Master Ching Hai, this tragic story of Paradise lost symbolizes humankind’s turning away from God: “God’ is the creative energy behind everything in the universe. It is given different names in different religions; for example, God, Allah, the Supreme Master, Anuttara-Samyak-Sambodhi and the Buddha Power.” (see Supreme Master Ching Hai’s Lecture 7, The Ten Commandments, in this volume.) Following “Paradise Lost” are many other well-known Bible stories, such as those of Noah (Lecture 2), Lot (Lecture 4) and Moses (Lecture 6). These tales depict God’s children misused their free will and continuing to deviate from the cosmic design of universal love, peace and harmony, with the inevitable result being destruction. Whether in the form of a gigantic flood that engulfs the Earth, a fire that destroys an entire city or endless wars among nations, these disasters might be thought to represent God’s punishment, but in reality they are the direct outcomes of human’s own behavior. How can human beings avoid such natural and self-made calamities? The answer to this question comes from the shining examples of Biblical figures such as Abraham, Lot, Moses and Samuel’s mother Hannah. These individuals all humbly submitted themselves to God’s will to the extent of giving up their worldly possessions or even their most beloved sons (in the cases of Abraham and Hannah). As a result, they received blessings that were many times more valuable than what they sacrificed. While the Old Testament figures revered God as an external agent who doled out rewards and punishment to his children, Jesus changed this paradigm when He came, telling His followers, “The kingdom of God is within you” (Lecture 11, The Sermon on the Mount, in this volume). This statement reflects the link between Jesus’ teachings and those of Sakyamuni Buddha and many other great Saints of the East, Who taught the same truths. Now Supreme Master Ching Hai brings us an identical message: that God is none other than our own Supreme Wisdom and True Nature (Lecture 7, The Ten Commandments, in this volume). And if we place our trust in God or our own inner Supreme Master, focus on our wisdom center and follow God’s will, not only will we be blessed but the whole world and generations of our descendants will benefit as well. Far from being a stern father figure who punishes people with earthly suffering or reincarnation, God is in essence Universal Love and Compassion. And even when people assert their free will and separate themselves from Love, Love never gives up. Through the ages, God has sent great Masters to help bring Hiers children back to their Heavenly Home. These Saints are God incarnate and their power is divine. Only through Them can we break the karmic cycle, go beyond the Three Realms and arrive safely at our soul’s permanent Home. Jesus also promised that God would again send us a “Comforter,” but how can we recognize a person who is God incarnate as Jesus was? The Supreme Master Ching Hai answers this question as follows: “If there is anyone who teaches the same ideas or gives us the same comfort as Jesus did, we should know that He/She is a Comforter that God has sent to us” (Lecture 9, The Perfect Example of a Great Saint, in this volume). And Her life, words, deeds and the power and love She manifests all testify to the fact that She is indeed from God. If we sincerely wish to be liberated, we need only knock on the door and we will surely recognize Her. Through this Great Master, we earthlings will finally be able to regain our lost Paradise.

God written by Reza Aslan and has been published by Random House this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2017-11-07 with Religion categories.

NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • The bestselling author of Zealot and host of Believer explores humanity’s quest to make sense of the divine in this concise and fascinating history of our understanding of God. In Zealot, Reza Aslan replaced the staid, well-worn portrayal of Jesus of Nazareth with a startling new image of the man in all his contradictions. In his new book, Aslan takes on a subject even more immense: God, writ large. In layered prose and with thoughtful, accessible scholarship, Aslan narrates the history of religion as a remarkably cohesive attempt to understand the divine by giving it human traits and emotions. According to Aslan, this innate desire to humanize God is hardwired in our brains, making it a central feature of nearly every religious tradition. As Aslan writes, “Whether we are aware of it or not, and regardless of whether we’re believers or not, what the vast majority of us think about when we think about God is a divine version of ourselves.” But this projection is not without consequences. We bestow upon God not just all that is good in human nature—our compassion, our thirst for justice—but all that is bad in it: our greed, our bigotry, our penchant for violence. All these qualities inform our religions, cultures, and governments. More than just a history of our understanding of God, this book is an attempt to get to the root of this humanizing impulse in order to develop a more universal spirituality. Whether you believe in one God, many gods, or no god at all, God: A Human History will challenge the way you think about the divine and its role in our everyday lives. Praise for God “Timely, riveting, enlightening and necessary.”—HuffPost “Tantalizing . . . Driven by [Reza] Aslan’s grace and curiosity, God . . . helps us pan out from our troubled times, while asking us to consider a more expansive view of the divine in contemporary life.”—The Seattle Times “A fascinating exploration of the interaction of our humanity and God.”—Pittsburgh Post-Gazette “[Aslan’s] slim, yet ambitious book [is] the story of how humans have created God with a capital G, and it’s thoroughly mind-blowing.”—Los Angeles Review of Books “Aslan is a born storyteller, and there is much to enjoy in this intelligent survey.”—San Francisco Chronicle

Mr JR Kay used to describe himself (in accord with some close friends and relatives) as a Translator - Interpreter, Theologian -Relationist (TITRE). For him it's all about Relation in the matters of faith: Relationship between God and Human Beings and Relationship between Human Beings themselves. And the unfortunate verification is this that most of the time, believers in general and Christians in particular are too busy serving God that they miss God. They are too busy searching for their Master Jesus that they miss Him. Shall we learn to serve God in our brothers and sisters, fellow believers or fellow Human-Beings rather and serve Him well. Shall we search for the Master Jesus-Christ in our fellow Human-Beings rather and meet Him right! This is the invitation that this book (studies report ) is all about with examples from some tenor thinkers and key actors of the Relationship. This book is the translation from the French copy: " Servir l'Homme pour servir Dieu: Une bonne lecon de ministere et de diaconie ." Translation and proofreading performed and supervised by MM. Justice K Sallah and JR Kay. MR JR Kay is from a literary background and then read Theology, Philosophy, Ethics and Translation in Paris- France and in UK. He is now the proprietor and Managing Director of JR Kay Services International, a Translation, Interpreting and Languages Support Institution based in Nottingham - United Kingdom.
