David Abraham untersucht das Wechselverhältnis von Einwanderung, Integration und Solidarität im kapitalistisch geprägten Westen des 20. und 21. Jahrhunderts. Am Beispiel von Deutschland, den USA und Israel zeigt der Jurist und Historiker, warum "soft on the inside, hard on the outside", die einst für die Etablierung stabiler Wohlfahrtsstaaten grundlegende Formel, in Zukunft nicht mehr tragfähig sein wird. Ergänzung und Vertiefung finden diese Einsichten in einem lebensgeschichtlichen Interview über Geschichte und Herkunft, über Recht und Populismus, aber auch über Abrahams wechselhafte wissenschaftliche Laufbahn.

As a starting point the first article deals with information management and how to overcome the typical obstacles when introducing a company-wide solution. Based on the product called M-Files a strategical and tactical approach is presented to improve information governance beyond the regulatory requirements. Following with an article about effective policy writing in information security a good practice approach is outlined how mapping a control system to ISO27001 helps for governance and control set optimization purposes. Network segmentation is a complex program for the majority organizations. Based on a look at the treat landscape to mitigate related risks by network segmentation the relevant technologies and approached are presented focusing on the most important part: the conceptual solution to keep the business and security interest in a balance. How can security standards deliver value? Based on a short summary regarding the SANS20 and ISO27001 standards project good practices are demonstrated to tackle the data leakage risk. The following contributions to this book are about network device security, email spoofing risks mitigation by DMARC and how small and medium enterprises should establish a reasonable IT security risk management. The next article is dealing with the topic of holistically manage cybersecurity based on the market drivers and company-specific constraints, while the final article reports about a data center transition approach and how related risks can be effectively managed. Die Frage, ob es vernünftig ist, moralisch zu handeln, gehört zu den ältesten Problemen der Ethik. Schon Platon bemühte sich in seiner Auseinandersetzung mit den Sophisten um den Nachweis, dass es für den Handelnden selbst besser ist, gerecht als ungerecht zu sein. Auch in der Gegenwart wird von zahlreichen Philosophen die These vertreten, dass es vernünftig ist, moralisch zu handeln, und grundsätzlich unvernünftig, gegen moralische Normen zu verstoßen. In der vorliegenden Untersuchung wird diese Auffassung exemplarisch anhand ihrer wichtigsten Vertreter geprüft. Teil I widmet sich dem Versöhnungsprojekt des moralischen Kontraktualismus. Es wird gezeigt, dass die Versuche, Moral auf das Eigeninteresse zurückzuführen, scheitern müssen. In Teil II wird zunächst die These geprüft, dass es selbstwidersprüchlich ist, unmoralisch zu handeln. Die vermeintlichen Widersprüche werden aufgelöst. Im Schlusskapitel gibt der Autor eine eigenständige Antwort auf die Titelfrage: Es ist tatsächlich vernünftig, moralisch zu handeln. Allerdings ist es manchmal nur rational erlaubt, nicht aber rational geboten, den Normen der Moral zu folgen. Im Falle eines Konflikts zwischen prudentiellen und moralischen Gründen sind beide Handlungsweisen rational erlaubt.
