I was the child who stood quietly in corners and listened. I observed. I watched people and remembered the eventswhat was said, what I saw. As I grew up, I remembered those incidents, happenings, and stories; and I loved to share them with friends and students. Over the years, when people heard my stories, they always wanted to hear more and often told me I should write a book with my stories. After many years of listening to people tell me to write, I wrote this book about the start of my life in a little town in Monett, Missouri. I have written about my parents, my hometown, people I knew, and incidents I observed. The book is filled with my love for this little town and all the people I knew. I am happy to now share those stories with each of my readers. Home again.

Merle Haggard written by Merle Haggard and has been published by Hal Leonard Corporation this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2002 with Music categories.

Merle Haggard is known as "the poet of the common man." His songs are some of the most important and influential in the history of country music, on par with the likes of those by Jimmie Rodgers and Hank Williams. Through a life as tumultuous as his music, scarred by struggles with inner demons, incarceration and addiction - all of which he has brutally and directly confronted through his lyrics - Haggard has emerged with an American songbook that captures the rough side of life with an unblinking eye gazing on the workings of the human heart. This collection comes on the heels of his acclaimed album If I Could Only Fly, his first new studio album in four years, which finds the former wildman coping with aging, taking on familial responsibilities, and learning to appreciate the wonders of home life versus the pitfalls of the highway. Haggard's lyrics demonstrate why this acclaimed member of the Country Music Hall of Fame is a legend who will live forever.

He encouraged her to write her story. Hi Harry is the true story of how alcohol turned a loving husband into the violent man Judy was married to for ten years. He was a Dr. Jekyll / Mr. Hyde personality, keeping Judy forever on edge: Who would he be today? The abuse she suffered slowly escalated until finally she knew the next time Mr. Hyde appeared, he would kill her. Emotionally destroyed, with little self-worth or confidence left, Judy relied on her dedication to her four children to find the courage to escape and make a new life for her family. Hi Harry is her story—a true testament to the power of a mother’s love.

Sara written by Marilyn Randall and has been published by Xlibris Corporation this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2016-10-05 with Fiction categories.

This is the story of Sara and her journey into the dark disease of alcoholism. A seemingly normal young woman, who very nearly drinks herself to death, and the path she walks to reach the place where she finally wants to get well. The author takes us on a trip into the thinking and experiences that create the perfect storm where situations continue to contribute to the, nearly always, fatal illness and how her loved ones fight to save her life. From Randalls own personal experiences comes her conviction that hope is something we should never lose when dealing with this disease because not everyone has to die from it. Against seemingly impossible odds of loss, death, grief, and finally, tough love, she shows us the miracle of sobriety. There is evidence today that alcoholism is created by a combination of several factors such as the predisposition to drink to change the way we feel and the need to try to feel more normal because of excessive nervousness, stress, or feelings of low self-esteem and self-worth are the contributing emotional factors while the physiological addiction that comes from drinking large amounts of alcohol every day until that line is crossed happens over a period of time and can be just as lethal when the liver, kidneys, pancreas, or eventually, the brain fails. And then there is also the genetic factor. No matter the combination of factors involved, we must acknowledge that we are living in the age of an alcoholic-and-drug addiction epidemic, but as long as there is life, there is hope, and this is Saras story; a story of struggles and life experiences that seemingly might cause her to lose all hope and desire to get well, and a learning experience for anyone who wants to know more about dealing with this disease and how to recover.

NOW THE HALLMARK MOVIES & MYSTERIES ORIGINAL TIME FOR ME TO COME HOME FOR CHRISTMAS! The fireplace is lit, the snow is falling, and sleigh bells echo in the distance—it’s Christmas, and it’s time to come home in this charming holiday novel based on Dorothy Shackleford and Blake Shelton’s hit song. Thirty-five-year-old Heath Sawyer has finally made it to the big-time as a country music star. After a year full of the kind of success he could only dream of, it’s December 23, and he’s headlining a sold-out show at Madison Square Garden. It’s only as the lights on the stage go down and the Christmas lights outside come on that Heath realizes there’s just one place he wants to be for the holidays: back home in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. But journeying anywhere on Christmas Eve is never easy, and with flight delays, inclement weather, and the unexpected company of a feisty young woman who’s about to become his traveling companion, Heath will need a Christmas miracle to make his way home in time to open presents. Filled with touching anecdotes inspired by the real holiday memories of Blake Shelton and Dorothy Shackelford, Time for Me to Come Home is a sweet and funny story that celebrates the spirit of Christmas and the true meaning of finding your way back home. “It’s funny how going back can get you back to where you belong. It’s the difference between just a melody and my favorite Christmas song.”
