Con esas frases cargadas de figuras literarias el arist?crata tolimense Jos? Mar?a Samper Agudelo present? en 1852 su obra Apuntamientos para la historia social y pol?tica de la Nueva Granada, cuya excelente investigaci?n es valiosa fuente bibliogr?fica para historiadores futuros. Lo ?nico que empa?a la forma, mas no el cntenido de los sucesos analizados, es el absurdo apasionamiento del escritor contra el Libertador Sim?n Bol?var, hecho que para un lector sensato solo sirve para corroborar la grandeza personal y la magnitud de la obra del padre de la Patria. Pero por otra parte este libro ratifica los sesgos ideol?gicos con que se ha pretendido presentar la cronolog?a hist?rica colombiana. Obligada lectura para quein desee conocer mejor los origenes de la nacionalidad. Sin apasionamientos.
