Pour ce faire, j'ai d cid d'examiner les transformations conomiques, sociales et culturelles suivant l'ind pendance afin d expliquer les cons quences de ces transformations sur l'Alg rie et la nation alg rienne. Pour commencer, j'expliquerai bri vement les buts de la colonisation de l'Afrique (Maghreb) en g n ral ainsi que le syst me appliqu par la France pendant la p riode coloniale. Ensuite, j'observerais le chemin vers la libert de l Alg rie et tudierais son nouveau syst me politique. Enfin, je me pencherais en d tail sur les changements provoqu s dans les domaines de l' conomie, de la soci t et de la culture. Pour clore ce dossier je r sumerai l'influence de ces transformations sur le peuple alg rien et les cons quences sur son identit nationale, afin de r pondre la question de savoir si la d claration d ind pendance de l Alg rie a vraiment marqu le d but d'une nation ind pendante...

La Mediterranee a souvent ete au c ur des reflexions litteraires, a travers une quete identitaire ou une consecration de l'histoire humaine. Intimement liees au colonialisme, les ecritures autour de la Mediterranee refletent un questionnement a la fois historique, philosophique et litteraire sur le destin des peuples. D'une rive a l'autre, la Mediterranee s'est constituee une veritable identite en tant qu'espace conceptualise et analyse. Les premiers ecrivains de langue francaise au Maghreb sont des colons d'Algerie, qui affirment tres tot leur autonomie d'expression par rapport a la metropole, prenant notamment leurs distances vis-a-vis de la litterature de voyage consacree a l'Algerie. Robert Randau, mais aussi Louis Bertrand inaugurent, au debut des annees 1920, le courant algerianiste, qui s'attache a decrire de l'interieur la terre colonisee, ses m urs et ses coutumes. Plus tard, a partir des annees 1930, l'ecole d'Alger sert de chambre d'echo a la denonciation de l'injustice coloniale. C'est dans cette perspective historique que sera etudiee l'evolution de la reflexion litteraire et socio-culturelle de l'identite mediterraneenne a travers l'expression de l'algerianite.

This book discusses how civil society, public debate and freedom of speech affect the management of natural resources. Drawing on the work of Robert Dahl, Jürgen Habermas and Robert Putnam, the book introduces the concept of public brainpower. Good governance of natural resources requires fertile public debate – to conceive new institutions, to provide checks and balances on existing institutions and to ensure their continuous dynamic evolution as the needs of society change. The book explores the strengths and weaknesses of these ideas through case studies of 18 oil and gas-producing countries: Algeria, Angola, Azerbaijan, Canada, Colombia, Egypt, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Libya, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Norway, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, the UK and Venezuela. The concluding chapter presents 10 tenets on how states can maximize their public brainpower, as well as a ranking of how well 33 resource-rich countries have succeeded in doing so.
