Neste oitavo volume da Série Inovação no Setor Público, uma produção acadêmica nascida no Programa de Pós-graduação em Gestão de Processos Institucionais (PPGPI), curso de Mestrado Profissional, foi trabalhada uma identidade comum em torno do empreendedorismo, que representa uma das mais relevantes bases da educação para o desenvolvimento nacional. A coletânea apresenta textos que trazem esta temática como eixo central, em variadas abordagens, com foco na formação empreendedora no ensino superior e técnico, valorizando esta iniciativa a partir de experiências originadas no setor público. Neste volume, a presença de trabalhos convidados de várias instituições nacionais e internacionais, abrilhantam o livro e dão amostras do potencial de expansão e inserção social do PPGPI. Merecem destaque o prefácio, pelo Prof. Louis-Jacques Filion, da HEC Montreal e posfácio do professor Soumodip Sarkar, da Universidade de Évora, Portugal, grandes autoridades na temática. O professor Filion é emérito da HEC Montreal, Canadá, onde foi titular. De 1995 a 2016, foi responsável pela Cátedra de Empreendedorismo Rogers-J.-A. Bombardier na mesma instituição. Recebeu numerosos prêmios e reconhecimentos, inclusive no Brasil. Um deles é a mais alta distinção do ICSB, o Wilford White Fellow, por suas contribuições para o avanço do empreendedorismo no mundo. Tem mais de uma centena de publicações, dentre as quais, cerca de vinte livros. Já o Professor Sarkar é Professor Catedrático do Departamento de Gestão da Universidade de Évora (UE), Portugal e pesquisador do CEFAGE-UE. Atualmente, é vice-reitor da UE e presidente executivo do Parque de Ciência e Tecnologia da região (PACT). É associado (não residente) do Asia Center da Harvard University. Presidente da equipe de avaliação externa da Agência Portuguesa de Avaliação e Acreditação do Ensino Superior (A3ES), na área de Administração. Internacionalmente, ele faz parte da equipe de credenciamento da Central and East European Management Development Association (CEEMAN). Seus interesses atuais de pesquisa incluem inovação social, empreendedorismo e sustentabilidade. Sua pesquisa recente foi publicada em periódicos de alto impacto. Ele publicou quatro livros sobre empreendedorismo e inovação e seu livro mais recente, EntreSutra, foi publicado pela Bloomsbury em 2018. Possui produções com repercussão na mídia nacional e internacional, incluindo o Economist e BBC.

The authors of this book alert that professional services like law, accountancy, and consultancy firms are set to face major disruption. The most important driver and enabler are the new technologies that help and in part substitute the work done by professionals. The second important disruptor is the new generation of professionals – “NewGen” – who are less interested in building their careers in a hierarchical organization and more interested in entrepreneurial challenges in small teams, with more rapid returns. D_Tex is proposed as a hub around which it is possible to look at textiles in their different forms, in order to better understand, study, adapt and project them for the future. It is intended to build a flow of ideas and concepts so that participants can arrive at new ideas and concepts and work them in their own way, adapting them to their objectives and research. D_Tex is intended as a space for sharing and building knowledge around textile material in order to propose new understandings and explorations. Present in all areas of knowledge, the textile material bets on renewed social readings and its evolutions to constantly reinvent itself and enable innovative cultural and aesthetic dimensions and unexpected applications to solve questions and promote new knowledge. D_Tex proposes to promote discussion and knowledge in the different areas where textiles, with all their characteristics, can ensure an important contribution, combining material and immaterial knowledge, innovative and traditional techniques, technological and innovative materials and methods, but also new organization and service models, different concepts and views on teaching. With the renewed idea of the intrinsic interdisciplinarity of design and sharing with different areas that support each other, the research and practice of textiles was proposed by the D_TEX Textile Design Conference 2019, held June 19-21, 2019 at the Lisbon School of Architecture of the University of Lisbon, Portugal under the theme "In Touch" where, as broadly understood as possible, different areas of textiles were regarded as needing to keep in touch with each other and end users in order to promote and share the best they can offer for the welfare of their users and consumers.
