La trilogía, forjada durante largo tiempo, comenzó con La explosión del sujeto y continuó con La problemática de la subjetividad, culminando con este ensayo. No existe una articulación temática, sino conexiones manifiestas e imperceptibles entre los diferentes textos. El movimiento final -desde el cual toma sentido el comienzo- es un retorno diferenciado a un punto de inflexión, donde aguarda una ética para ser elucidada. La explosión del sujeto trató de llevar hasta su frontera, a menudo forzándolo desde dentro, el discurso freudiano para hacerle decir lo que no quiso, ni pudo o no alcanzó a decir. La idea fue seguir la marcha de su pensamiento sobre las masas para arribar a un puerto fuera de itinerario, el desfondamiento del sujeto clásico. Con su alocución finaliza un movimiento comenzado un siglo atrás. Entonces, queda de ese modo, facilitado el pasaje a La problemática de la subjetividad. Un ensayo, una conversación. Ella deambula por una rigurosa imbricación de cuestiones. Cada una avanza según su ritmo y peculiaridades, sin que ninguna definición congele sus desarrollos. El encadenamiento de cuestiones finalmente se resuelve en un concepto de subjetividad que rehuye lo obvio y rechaza toda duplicidad. Es la conclusión obligada, impulsada por el orden secuencial. Ahora cabe la re-unión que da paso, entonces, a un concepto de subjetividad como el desplegado en la Problemática; subjetividad que debía ser llevada hasta sus propios límites. Ahí toma el relevo Ensayo sobre el pensamiento sutil. La cuestión de la causalidad, la causalidad en cuestión, que emprende una tarea sin precedentes que se hayan ocupado expresamente de los asuntos trabajados en el libro. Ella consiste en deslindar la causalidad de la determinación, y en someter ésta a la herida íntima o desterminación que no le permite cicatrizar. La exploración avanza mediante una elucidación crítica propositiva. A ella se pliega una dramática de las afecciones conceptuales (como le gusta llamarla al autor). Por ella la manifestación de los olvidos, censuras, omisiones, exclusiones y demás procesos, juegan como condiciones de emergencia y formulación de una ética que bullía en el magma de lo soterrado. Con esos vehículos por distintas vías, se accede a una compleja y ramificada ética de la responsabilidad (ya desentendida de nociones como "carga", "culpa", "sacrificio", "causa de..." y otras virtudes teologales) valorada como el acto mismo por el cual un sujeto se convierte en singularmente colectivo.

La explosión del sujeto es el primer título de una trilogía. Primero fuera del orden cronológico de su aparicion. Inicio, sólo, de un pensamiento que lo sitúa en ese lugar sin lugar ubicable. Con él arranca el tramo particular de un sinuoso recorrido que está claramente delineado en el ensayo. La incursión por el trabajo freudiano -Psicología de las masas y análisis del yo- deja en suspenso el mismo concepto de sujeto, sea considerado en su dimensión trascendental o en su constitución estructural. Así el sujeto, en el discurso freudiano y en el proceso histórico, ha explotado en su núcleo más íntimo siendo, entonces, la diseminación, el movimiento y la complejidad los que deberían caracterizar sus devenires específicos y su trabazón con el acontecer de la subjetividad. De ese modo se abre paso al segundo componente: La problemática de la subjetividad. Un ensayo, una conversación; donde ella es enfocada desde un concepto que es puro acontecimiento. En esto estriba su univocidad, entramado y multiplicidad en acto que rehuye cualquier unidad o pluralidad fijadas a priori. Dichos asuntos siguen desplegándose en el último eslabón del tríptico, Ensayo sobre el pensamiento sutil. Sutil más allá de toda sutileza. Ahora es el juego de la letra el que pone las reglas. La desterminación, la differance y la krítica son los desafíos arrojados y explorados por un pensamiento "sujeto" de sus decisiones más singulares. Finalmente, en cada uno de los ensayos permanecen tendidos, expresa y concientemente, los hilos con que se teje el escrito siguiente. Hilados que requieren su propio diagrama, pero también hitos que señalan el rumbo hacia una meta cuya llegada es el mismo punto de partida lanzado a sus incesantes transformaciones.

This volume explores the essential issues involved in bringing phenomenology together with the cognitive sciences, and provides some examples of research located at the intersection of these disciplines. The topics addressed here cover a lot of ground, including questions about naturalizing phenomenology, the precise methods of phenomenology and how they can be used in the empirical cognitive sciences, specific analyses of perception, attention, emotion, imagination, embodied movement, action and agency, representation and cognition, inters- jectivity, language and metaphor. In addition there are chapters that focus on empirical experiments involving psychophysics, perception, and neuro- and psychopathologies. The idea that phenomenology, understood as a philosophical approach taken by thinkers like Husserl, Heidegger, Sartre, Merleau-Ponty, and others, can offer a positive contribution to the cognitive sciences is a relatively recent idea. Prior to the 1990s, phenomenology was employed in a critique of the first wave of cognitivist and computational approaches to the mind (see Dreyfus 1972). What some consider a second wave in cognitive science, with emphasis on connectionism and neuros- ence, opened up possibilities for phenomenological intervention in a more positive way, resulting in proposals like neurophenomenology (Varela 1996). Thus, bra- imaging technologies can turn to phenomenological insights to guide experimen- tion (see, e. g. , Jack and Roepstorff 2003; Gallagher and Zahavi 2008).
