Frente al teatro clásico, que se centraba en los acontecimientos más que en los personajes, Shakespeare nos presenta a un joven atribulado por sus dudas existenciales acerca de la venganza, la muerte y el amor, y con una clara crisis psicológica y existencial que capta totalmente la atención del espectador, por encima de la trama. No en balde cualquier actor sueña con interpretar un personaje tan complejo y rico como Hamlet.
