Issu d'un colloque organisé par le CURAPP-ESS Amiens les 12 et 13 avril 2012, cet ouvrage entend soulever de nouvelles questions plutôt que sur la signification de l'identité nationale en elle-même, il propose une réflexion interdisciplinaire sur les usages qui ont été faits de cette notion en analysant, d'une part, les instruments au moyen desquels elle a été reconstruite en catégorie d'action publique et. d'autre part, la normativité susceptible ou non de s'y attacher.
