Bew hrungshilfe ist eine ambulante Form der Straff lligenhilfe. Straff llige zu resozialisieren, sie dazu bef higen, ein straffreies Leben zu f hren und somit den weiteren Vollzug der Freiheitsstrafe zu verhindern sind die Hauptaufgaben und -ziele der Bew hrungshilfe. Dabei werden Klienten der Bew hrungshilfe nicht Straff llige oder Entlassene, sondern Probanden genannt. Fokus der vorliegenden Publikation liegt auf der Kl rung folgenden beiden Fragen: Wie wird die Bew hrungshilfe von jugendlichen und heranwachsenden Probanden wahrgenommen? Gibt es kulturbedingte Wahrnehmungsunterschiede unter deutschen und nichtdeutschen Probanden? Zur Kl rung dieser Fragen tr gt vor allem die durchgef hrte Befragung der jugendlichen und heranwachsenden Klientel der Bew hrungshilfe in Ravensburg bei. Tragende Begriffe dieser Arbeit, wie etwa Bew hrungshilfe, Bew hrung an sich, Migrationshintergrund oder Resozialisierung straff llig Gewordener werden in Kapitel 2 definiert und erl utert. Kapitel 3 befasst sich mit der bisher zum Thema erschienenen, wenn auch nur in Ans tzen vergleichbaren, Fachliteratur. Die historische Entwicklung der Strafaussetzung zur Bew hrung im deutschen Kulturkreis in Zeitraum vom 17. Jh. bis zur Gegenwart wird in Kapitel 4 thematisiert. Sowohl formelle, wie auch informelle Sanktionsformen des Jugendgerichtsgesetzes werden in Kapitel 5 behandelt. Ein kurzer internationaler Anriss, als auch ein etwas ausf hrlicherer berblick ber das System der Bew hrungshilfe in Bayern und in Baden-W rttemberg erfolgt in Kapitel 6. In Kapitel 7 und 8 werden dann die Aufgabenbereiche und die Klientel der Bew hrungshilfe erl utert. Abschlie end stellt Kapitel 9 den empirischen Teil der Untersuchung dar, in dem die Durchf hrung der Umfrage, die methodische Vorgehensweise und s mtliche Ergebnisse der Befragung ausgewertet und dargestellt werden.

This report of the President's Commission on Law Enforcement and Administration of Justice -- established by President Lyndon Johnson on July 23, 1965 -- addresses the causes of crime and delinquency and recommends how to prevent crime and delinquency and improve law enforcement and the administration of criminal justice. In developing its findings and recommendations, the Commission held three national conferences, conducted five national surveys, held hundreds of meetings, and interviewed tens of thousands of individuals. Separate chapters of this report discuss crime in America, juvenile delinquency, the police, the courts, corrections, organized crime, narcotics and drug abuse, drunkenness offenses, gun control, science and technology, and research as an instrument for reform. Significant data were generated by the Commission's National Survey of Criminal Victims, the first of its kind conducted on such a scope. The survey found that not only do Americans experience far more crime than they report to the police, but they talk about crime and the reports of crime engender such fear among citizens that the basic quality of life of many Americans has eroded. The core conclusion of the Commission, however, is that a significant reduction in crime can be achieved if the Commission's recommendations (some 200) are implemented. The recommendations call for a cooperative attack on crime by the Federal Government, the States, the counties, the cities, civic organizations, religious institutions, business groups, and individual citizens. They propose basic changes in the operations of police, schools, prosecutors, employment agencies, defenders, social workers, prisons, housing authorities, and probation and parole officers.
