ARGUMENTO;El protagonista del libro de Lecturas de Segundo es el erizo, llamado PINCHOS, que inició su andadura en el libro de lecturas de Primero. En esta ocasión, el animal deja el bosque para vivir durante un año en la ciudad. De esta manera, establece una profunda amistad con Daniel –el niño que le acoge en su casa- y su mejor amiga, Marta, y conoce las ventajas e inconvenientes de vivir en una gran urbe.;Con Daniel y Marta, su mejor amiga, conocerá algunas de las extrañas costumbres de los humanos y su relación con el resto de animales que viven en la ciudad. En general, son de carácter popular y muy sencillos.;En los márgenes de cada página se encuentra el vocabulario de difícil comprensión para el niño. Para ello hemos resaltado en color azul cada definición al lado del texto donde aparece. El alumno podrá de leer su significado rápidamente y comprenderlo en el contexto. De esta manera, recordará el significado con mayor facilidad y la lectura será más atractiva.;METODOLOGÍA;En este segundo libro de lecturas, Pinchos vuelve a hacer de hilo conductor del argumento, aunque esta vez acompañado de Daniel, un niño de ocho años, en quien los pequeños lectores se sentirán identificados. Marta, la mejor amiga de Daniel, queda en un segundo plano, aunque aparezca con frecuencia. No se trata de discriminar el papel femenino en el texto, sino de dar más importancia a un solo personaje humano.;El niño actúa como todos los niños de su edad, algunas veces de manera inocente y otras intencionada. Al ser hijo único, es un poco caprichoso y egoísta como se muestra con su amiga Marta al no dejarle sus juguetes, pero aprende a pedir perdón.;Los personajes secundarios, en esta ocasión, son niños. Solo en alguna lectura como aparecen animales como personajes solidarios que ayudan a Pinchos a efectuar alguna acción o algún que otro juguete que se rebela contra el niño. Ellos ayudarán al erizo a buscar unas hierbas para curar a Daniel de unas extrañas fiebres, o hacer comprender al niño que algunas actitudes molestan a los juguetes.;El lenguaje es sencillo y adecuado a la edad. Se utilizan frases simples y subordinadas muy sencillas. Aunque la extensión de los textos es más larga.;El ambiente elegido para este libro es el de una casa donde viven los humanos. No aparece ningún elemento distorsionador de la historia como pueden ser separaciones familiares o disfunciones dentro del ámbito familiar. Tan solo un día Daniel enferma, como puede hacerlo cualquier niño de su edad.;El hecho de que en este libro haya combinado el elemento mágico del animal que habla con los humanos es intencionado. En estas edades, el niño deja de ser individualista para empezar a relacionarse de una manera más interactiva con el resto de compañeros y compañeras de la escuela o bien con otros niños de su entorno. Poco a poco se irá formando su propia pandilla. Aunque esta no aparecerá claramente hasta uno o dos años más tarde.;Los temas que se han tratado en esta ocasión han sido diferentes al del libro anterior. Por un lado se mantiene la temporalidad, es decir, las lecturas tienen en cuenta el transcurso del tiempo, de las estaciones del año y las festividades de carácter popular españolas. Ahora bien se ha intentado dar más fuerza a los temas relacionados con los valores como pueden ser el responsabilizarse del cuidado de un animal, no decir mentiras, prestar desinteresadamente los juguetes a los demás, ayudar a los enfermos...;Cada unidad perfila el argumento de una pequeña historia (con inicio, trama, final). Todas las historias quedan cerradas. No hay historias donde el niño pueda especular con finales diferentes (a menos que se le indique en alguna actividad).;TEMAS TRANSVERSALES;Se trabajan valores como la amistad, la colaboración colectiva, la no discriminación, la igualdad, el respeto por los mayores, el cuidado de los pequeños y su aprendizaje para la independencia, la transmisión de tradiciones y valores...
