Our nation is in turmoil over many issues these days-political, social and health related. But systemic racism and how it touches so much of society is one of the most painful. Make Us One is a 31-day devotional prayer guide that speaks into this issue. It is designed to open the heart of the reader so he or she can experience inner healing, repent where needed, and move him or her toward heart-transformation. Ultimately it is a cry for God to bring healing over this evil in our nation. Each of the powerful, insightful, scripture-based prayers is written by a national prayer leader or pastor of multiple ethnicities. It has a clear, prophetic voice for our times, and a message to the Church that it cannot turn a blind eye to this issue any longer, but needs to live out Jesus' in John 17, that we would be one. The book also includes short stories by people of color showing how they experienced an act of either subtle or overt racism or discrimination. Great for a church to pray together.

Help Lord, Make Us One! The Journey Through is a four-part journey focused on helping the reader process through life with God. Through obedience to and receiving the plan of God the reader will reconcile to God while being delivered from their personal Egypt. The reader will be challenged to make up his/her mind to serve God and evaluate their many choices in life. The second portion of the book deals with reconciling to oneself as the reader goes through the wilderness and personal closets of their life (removing the masks and getting rid of the extra baggage). Deliverance is the theme of the second portion and allows the soil of the reader's heart to loosen or break up so the Word of God can be planted deeper. The reader will be challenged to make up his/her mind to unveil God's hidden treasure planted deep inside of them. The third portion of the journey reveals a need to reconcile to humanity. Through divine revelations the reader will be restored to God and then reach out to humanity. As the reader begins to apply the Word of God (rightly) true restoration to the body of Christ is fortified. Lastly, the reader will be reminded that life is a continuous journey. Individually and collectively we must make a choice to endure the process. God had to take me through many places (caves, valleys, ditches, Hell, a state of being lost and the furnace of affliction) to develop my testimony. God made my comfort zone uncomfortable to push me on purpose. Yes, the process continues! Allow me to share that by definition revelation means to uncover. Whether it uncovers the truth or exposes the lie, divine revelation from the Lord is intended to help us move into our destiny. As we journey through the process called life often we focus on going deeper into the Word of God. But, for this journey our responsibility is to allow the Word of God to go deeper in us. This journey begins, is centered around and will ultimately end up challenging you to confirm your relationship with Christ. It is this relationship that will stand as the foundation of your divine connection for eternity. How will you journey through? Have you believed what God has said to you? Have you ever thought you were the only one with an assignment through the valley? Have you ever been processed by God and considered giving up? Well I came to help push you into your destiny. As you face the person in the mirror daily, I believe you will catch the revelation that God loved you through your process on purpose! Now that you have endured the storm, the rain, the hurt and the pain, you cannot afford to quit. Someone needs your true testimony. Now the time has come to Journey Through.

In recent times there has been a tendency to question the value and relevance of several time-honoured customs and institutions. This trend has compelled many institutions to re-examine their own 'raison-d'etre', goals and modes of functioning. The Roman Catholic Church came to grips with these questions during the Second Vatican Council [1962 - 1965), and set in motion a process of renewal and of adaptation to the needs of the modern world. The answers furnished by Vatican II have yet to be assimilated by the common people in the Church. Even today, many feel that they can be true to the demands of Jesus Christ without belonging to any formal institution like a Church. Did Jesus actually intend founding a structured religion or a Church? is a question that is often posed. If He did found a Church, it should be one single true Church. Why then are there so many so-called Churches in Christianity? Which is the true Church founded by Christ? What is the relationship between this Church and the other Churches? Can non-Christians be saved? What is the relationship of the true Church of Christ and the non-Christian religions? These are some of the questions people ask themselves, especially when surrounded by a plurality of Churches and a multiplicity of religions. In the pages that follow, an attempt has been made to answer some of these questions in the light of Holy Scripture, the teachings of Vatican II, and the history of the Catholic Church. What the Catholic Church believes and teaches has also been presented briefly through quotations from documents of the Church and in the form of questions and answers given in the form of four quizzes added at the end. The word, "Church", comes from the Hebrew word 'qahal', translated by Greek word, 'ecclesia', which means gathering, assembly, people gathered together in response to God's call, people of God. The Church consists of the New People of God, constituted by the New Covenant sealed by the blood of Christ, animated by His Holy Spirit, and committed to His New Commandment of Love. It is to be hoped that the pages that follow will help the reader to discover this reality and its significance for world peace and unity. I wish to express my deep gratitude to Mr. Dunstan Nunes and his wife, Arlene, for their encouragement and help in patiently going through the entire manuscript and preparing it on the computer for printing. Without their keen interest and support this booklet would never have made it to the press. 8th September, 2007 Fr. Joseph M. Dias, S.J.

"Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom He has chosen as His inheritance." [Psalm 33:12] Do you believe for America's restoration? Most of us vividly recall the early mornings of elementary school days. Before our teacher began a single lesson plan, we stood, placed our tired hands over our half-asleep hearts, and robotically recited: I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. And to the Republic for which it stands. One nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. From 1954 until the present, millions of students have not only declared allegiance but ultimately decreed America's destiny as one nation under God, which is indivisible and provides liberty and justice for all. How has America become so divided and filled with grievous injustices? Simple. For decades, the Church of America has abandoned the assignment of corporate prayer. Programs, performance, and perfection subtly replaced the power of prayer. The Watchmen for our nation must return to the Wall. The only way to return as one nation under God is for the Church of America to unite in prayer and agree over America's destiny, established by founding fathers who risked their lives to form a Christian nation. Unity begins in the Church. Nothing brings unity like prayer. Will you join us?
