Irvine, CA – (Release Date TBD) –A clear boundary between adolescent and adult development has not yet been identified. In her enlightening new book, author Skipi Lundquist Smoot, PhD cites a majority of Adult Emotional Distress and Anxiety to fall on the continuum of Ego & Cognitive Immaturity/Maturity vs Neurosis/Wellness. Dr. Smoot defines Psychological Maturity as a necessary but usually disregarded “Missing Link” for attainment of functional resolution of anxiety. This Adult stage of Human Development leads to higher levels of ability to tolerate frustration, delay gratification and accept objective reality. Educational Methods for its achievement can be learned to help arrive at more successful life choices. We are born with a mission—to explore our own path. Psychological Maturation requires tolerance of personal differences without giving up individuality in the presence of emotional or social pressure to do otherwise. Mature choices are based on ability to think about feelings and choose to respond to them or not based on what is best for the self and others in the long run.

Markers Of Psychosocial Maturation written by Mufid James Hannush and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-07-15 with Psychology categories.

This book advances an integrative approach to understanding the phenomenon of psychosocial maturation. Through a rigorous, dialectically-informed interpretation of psychoanalytic and humanistic-existential-phenomenological sources, Mufid James Hannush distils thirty essential markers of maturity. The dialectical approach is described as a process whereby lived, affect-and-value laden polar meanings are transformed, through deep insight, into complementary and integrative meta-meanings. The author demonstrates how responding to the call of maturation can be viewed as a life project that serves the ultimate purpose of living a balanced life. The book will appeal to students and scholars of human development, psychotherapy, social work, philosophy, and existential, humanistic, and phenomenological psychology.

The Maturational Processes And The Facilitating Environment written by Donald W. Winnicott and has been published by Routledge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2018-04-24 with Psychology categories.

Donald Winnicott (1896-1971) was trained in paediatrics, a profession that he practised to the end of his life, in particular at the Paddington Green Children’s Hospital. He began analysis with James Strachey in 1923, became a member of the British Psychoanalytical Society in 1935, and twice served as its President. He was also a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and of the British Psychological Society. The collection of papers that forms The Maturational Processes and the Facilitating Environment brings together Dr Winnicott’s published and unpublished papers on psychoanalysis and child development during the period 1957-1963. It has, as its main theme, the carrying back of the application of Freud’s theories to infancy. Freud showed that psycho-neurosis has its point of origin in the interpersonal relationships of the first maturity, belonging to the toddler age. Dr Winnicott explores the idea that mental hospital disorders relate to failures of development in infancy. Without denying the importance of inheritance, he has developed the theory that schizophrenic illness shows up as the negative of processes that can be traced in detail as the positive processes of maturation in infancy and early childhood.

Brain Maturation And Cognitive Development written by Anne Petersen and has been published by Routledge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2017-09-29 with Psychology categories.

This volume adopts a unique, multidisciplinary approach to the study of the development of the human brain and early behavior. It includes chapters by researchers from several disciplines whose work addresses specific aspects of brain-behavioral interactions in development. The chapters provide strong evidence that the development of both brain and behavior is a response to biological and environmental variations.Language is also discussed, and provides a useful example of biosocial development because linguistic and brain functions and development can be examined under controlled conditions of both genetic and environmental deprivation. Research in this area has produced particularly exciting results pointing to the universality of language capacity among humans and illuminating the processes by which language competence develops.Brain Maturation and Cognitive Development provides new views in the understanding of human nature and present new, biosocially oriented research directions that are unique in their focus.
