This grammar-reader is based on almost twenty years' experience of teaching beginners the Swedish language and is reassuringly practical in approach. Miss Hird's aims are threefold: to provide a compromise between the traditional grammar-readers and the new textbooks which are not designed for beginners outside Sweden; to supply grammatical information and exercises and reading texts together for ease of reference; and to stimulate the student's interest in Swedish life, institutions and culture. The grammar part of the book is in seventeen lessons, each comprising a text in Swedish which Miss Hird has specially composed to include useful vocabulary and graded grammatical points upon which exercises (including translation exercises) are set for practice. The central theme of the texts is Stockholm, and attractive drawings illustrate it. De utnämns till poster där det politiska engagemanget måste läggas åt sidan, vilket hände med den drivande miljöministern Birgitta Dahl, som blev utsedd till talman. Hedrande men tystande! Jag själv, f d politisk chefredaktör på Norrländska Socialdemokraten, har också fått smaka på liknande medicin.I mina studier har jag fascinerats av Alva Myrdal, denna viktiga gestalt i 1900-talets svenska politik. Sval men kraftfull, respekterad men undanskuffad – är hon värd beundran och efterföljd eller skulle det bästa vara att förpassa henne till historien? I dessa frågor började jag leta efter människan Alva.Den här boken är också en uppgörelse med arbetarrörelsens inställning till jämställdhet. Det är lugnast för män med makt när kvinnorna kokar kaffe. Min Bok 5 er den femte boken i rekken av Erik Ribsskog sine memoar-bøker.Boken handler om den tiden han bodde i Rimi-hybelleilighetene, i Waldemar Thranes gate 5, på St. Hanshaugen, (i Oslo), fra 1996 til 2004. Erik Ribsskog blir valgt ut til å være med i en ny avdeling, av Heimevernet, som kalles støtteområdet. Han blir etterhvert butikksjef, i tre Rimi-butikker, (i Oslo og Follo), før han får nok av å jobbe som butikksjef, (etter å ha blitt lurt opp i stry, (av sjefene oppover i systemet, i ICA), i forbindelse med at han bytter butikk, fra Rimi Lambertseter til Rimi Kalbakken, høsten år 2000), og begynner å studere heltid, (ved siden av deltidsjobbing, som låseansvarlig, på to Rimi-butikker), ved ingeniørhøyskolen, (HiO IU), høsten 2002, (hvor han blant annet havner på en programmeringsgruppe, sammen med den pene 'Vestlandsdama' og den tidligere popstjernen Dag Anders Rougseth, fra Hamar-bander Autopulver).
