“Most Commons” has always been the hot topic which helps in solving many direct and indirect questions in entrance examinations and also clears many fundamentals related to subject. During my ophthalmology residency at AIIMS, New Delhi, I had started gathering relevant text which has helped me to compile a huge collection of most commons and has now taken the form of this book. Time taken to compile this book is really enormous and I have tried not to leave any topic untouched. More than 1000 ophthalmology related books has been reviewed to compile this huge list of more than 4000 “most commons”. I have permitted myself to allow few duplications of most commons, it is just in the view of getting all relevant material under single heading. This Text, in a concise manner, relays information related to all major topics in ophthalmology. Additionally, it also reviews all areas commonly covered in PG and Post-PG Entrance examinations of ophthalmology. Science is an ever changing dynamic filed and medicine is no more exception. Though each and every data collected and given here is checked for its correctness, some of the facts like percentage etc may change as new research goes on. I have taken utmost care to present the information in its latest form. I hope readers will welcome my this text just as my previous texts like Ophthalmonics, Ophthalmology Explorer and I-Notes for which I still continue to receive appreciation emails and messages. The most powerful force on Earth is the English language! Forty percent of men dont read books--this according to a Penguin Book Survey in New York City that has one of he highest literacy rate in the nation. I cant imagine how few men read in other parts of the country. Did you know that women are more attracted to men who read books? Women instinctively know that men who read are more educated and are better providers. You only have 60 or so productive years. After that you wont be worth much even if your brain is still intact. If you live to age 90 you have 80 times 365 days = 29,200 days so dont waste it. How many days have you wasted so far? Dont you think it is time to pick up a book and read it? I know you have been traumatized, held hostage and brainwashed for twelve to fourteen years by the government mandated compulsory school systems. America is the only place in the world that throws parents in jail if they dont enroll their children in public school.) Its understandable that after graduating high school you probably never want to read another book in your life. However if you want to earn a living for your family and have a better life you are going to have to educate yourself and reading is the only way! The most powerful force on Earth is the English Language. Learn it and be successful.

The most troublesome words and phrases—as well as grammatical terms—are listed alphabetically within 18 subject areas to enable the reader to check quickly on questions of usage. In each case, illustrative examples are given, and the guiding principle is stated for the reader to follow in avoiding the mistake and others similar to it. An extensive index for additional ease of reference helps make this book a handy tool for the modern reader who realizes that mere knowledge is no longer sufficient—that one must be able to express his knowledge clearly, forcefully, and correctly.

A landmark and collectible volume—beautifully produced in duotone—that canonizes Frederick Douglass through historic photography. Commemorating the bicentennial of Frederick Douglass’s birthday and featuring images discovered since its original publication in 2015, this “tour de force” (Library Journal, starred review) reintroduced Frederick Douglass to a twenty-first-century audience. From these pages—which include over 160 photographs of Douglass, as well as his previously unpublished writings and speeches on visual aesthetics—we learn that neither Custer nor Twain, nor even Abraham Lincoln, was the most photographed American of the nineteenth century. Indeed, it was Frederick Douglass, the ex-slave-turned-abolitionist, eloquent orator, and seminal writer, who is canonized here as a leading pioneer in photography and a prescient theorist who believed in the explosive social power of what was then just an emerging art form. Featuring: Contributions from Henry Louis Gates, Jr., and Kenneth B. Morris, Jr. (a direct Douglass descendent) 160 separate photographs of Douglass—many of which have never been publicly seen and were long lost to history A collection of contemporaneous artwork that shows how powerful Douglass’s photographic legacy remains today, over a century after his death All Douglass’s previously unpublished writings and speeches on visual aesthetics
