Interdisciplinary Applications Of The Person Centered Approach written by Jeffrey H. D. Cornelius-White and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013-06-04 with Psychology categories.

This book examines the scientific contribution and increasing relevance of the Person-Centered Approach (PCA) in psychotherapy. The direction taken in the book is to provide readers with a multidisciplinary and multi-perspective view as well as practical applications. Beyond the more conventional psychotherapy applications (client-centered, experimental, emotion-focused, child-centered, motivational interviewing, existential, filial, etc.) others have evolved including peace and conflict resolution work, encounter and T-groups, nonviolent communication, parent effectiveness training, person-centered planning for people with disabilities, relationship enhancement methods, learner-centered education, technology-enhanced learning environments, human relations leadership training, etc. Simultaneously, scientific disciplines were influenced by this perspective in less obvious ways. Hence, the major contribution of this book is to identify and characterize the key bridges-so far only partly recognized- between the PCA and several other disciplines. Based on the results of the bridge-building endeavor, the editors will propose an initial formulation of the PCA as a meta-theory. It is intended as a generic framework to solve complex, social problems and to stimulate further research and development concerning the human species in relationship to its environment.

The theme is studied from a variety of historical, hermeneutical and biblical-theological points of view. Several contributions discuss the process that resulted in the canonical status of certain writings, or groups of writings, in particular, such as the Book of Psalms, Ezekiel, the Wisdom of Ben Sira, the Pauline corpus, Acts and the gospels.

The Intelligible Metropolis written by Nora Pleßke and has been published by transcript Verlag this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2014-08-31 with Literary Criticism categories.

Writings on the metropolis generally foreground illimitability, stressing thereby that the urban ultimately remains both illegible and unintelligible. Instead, the purpose of this interdisciplinary study is to demonstrate that mentality as a tool offers orientation in the urban realm. Nora Pleßke develops a model of urban mentality to be employed for cities worldwide. Against the background of the Spatial Turn, she identifies dominant urban-specific structures of London mentality in contemporary London novels, such as Monica Ali's »Brick Lane«, J.G. Ballard's »Millennium People«, Nick Hornby's »A Long Way Down«, and Ian McEwan's »Saturday«.

Interpretationen Einer Gemeinsamen Welt Von Der Antike Bis Zur Moderne Festschrift F R Jure Zovko written by Evandro Agazzi and has been published by LIT Verlag Münster this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on with categories.

In their contributions - dedicated to the Croatian philosopher Jure Zovko - on the philosophy of antiquity, German Idealism and the 20th century, as well as on hermeneutics, the theory of knowledge and science, metaphysics and the philosophy of religion, the twenty-two authors unfold philosophy as the interpretation of a common world. In the process, it becomes clear that philosophy, even in the diversity of its voices, ultimately always remains one, just as the world as a point of reference for human action and thought is only one, which we share with each other and which we have to recognise and preserve.

Gesammelte Schriften written by Martin Heckel and has been published by Mohr Siebeck this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1989 with Law categories.

English summary: In volume 5 of his Collected Essays, Martin Heckel focuses on questions pertaining to the history of the constitution and the church in Germany since the schism and to the valid constitutional laws pertaining to culture and education and to the state churches. Here the author emphasizes the interdisciplinary overall view. He attempts to analyze the origins of and changes in the legal forms in the state and the church resulting from their - often antagonistic - causes and circumstances which are of a political, theological and historical nature. In doing so, he also tries to expand the dogmatics of the present law by confronting it with its long legal history and to sever it from a good many ephemeral negative evaluations.
