Towards A Poetics Of The Mental Health Play written by Anja Drautzburg and has been published by Göttingen University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2020 with English drama categories.

This study traces key developments in theatre’s engagement with mental health since the 1970s. It introduces and applies the concept of the ‘mental health play’ as accurate and timely in addressing the way mental distress and mental illness have been brought to the stage. The study argues that the theatre is a central calibrator for reflecting developments and tensions in, as well as attitudes towards, mental health care, and thus opens up a domain that still has stereotypes and myths attached to it. Theatre’s representations of mental distress inform and shape cultural production and vice versa. Mental health plays are central in encouraging and fostering conversations about mental health, and they thus intervene in ongoing debates. Due to its interdisciplinary approach, this study contributes to and extends existing research in multiple fields, including theatre and science, performance studies, and the medical humanities.

Palestine is not a dead object. It is a living country. Palestinians are her soul ... To love a country and wish away her inhabitants is a kind of necrophiliac's romance. --Israel Shamir collected in Flowers of Galilee are perceived as a model of the world ... The war in the Holy Land is presented as the centre-stage of the world-wide struggle of ideas, against a backdrop of such momentous modern developments as the growing influence of American Jewry, the decline of the Left, the ascent of Globalisation, the first steps of the anti-Globalisation movement, and the outbreak of World War Three with America against the Third World. goal as well: the Liberation of Public Discourse. This outrageous Book will shock you ... or will change your vision of the world...A Jewish genius, Israel Shamir kicks holes through doors. He is the true refusenik. My favourite anti-Semite, Shamir is a must-read for every Jew. --Paul Eisen, London resolve. --Daniel McGowan, Deir Yassin Remembered. Israel Shamir writes with the heart of a poet, and the uncorrupted perception of the child who is able to cry out, 'The Emperor has no clothes ' Many writers on current events are worth reading, but I know of none who can be re-read as often as can Israel Shamir, with reawakened admiration each time for his skill, and renewed gratitude for his service to truth. --Lubomyr Prytulak Ukrainian Archive Mendacity. His essays wound the beast, and rectify the vision of those swimming away from perfidious power and towards the shores of peace, from Haifa to Havana. --Prof. Julio Pino. Israel Shamir is the most incredible man I ever met. Next to Israel Shamir, Norman Finkelstein and his Holocaust Industry is a tale for children. Reading him, one believes for a moment that St. Paul was right when he said there is no defence against the truth. The history of David and Goliath would not suffice to illustrate the combat of Israel Shamir ... It makes one think of an ant tackling the largest monsters having ever traversed the surface of the Earth. --Manfred-Christian Stricker Strasbourg

Story of Our Lady statue in Bethlehem destroyed by the Jewish Army and its universal meaning. Ideas are not less important than material things; oil does not provide the whole explanation of the war in the Middle East, faith is not dead and can't die as long as mankind exists. Even the belief in the Market forces is just another faith, an old established cult of Mammon. Faith is not only a personal affair; religion still matters, probably more than we think.

Red Love written by Alexandra Kollontai and has been published by MIT Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2020-03-31 with Political Science categories.

Revisiting the ideas of a Russian revolutionary and feminist on such topics as sexual politics, free love, and motherhood. Alexandra Kollontai was a prominent Russian revolutionary, a commissar of Social Welfare after the October revolution in 1917, and a long-term Soviet ambassador to Sweden. As a cofounder of the Zhenotdel, the “Women's Department” in the communist party, she introduced abortion rights, secularized marriage, and provided paid maternity leave. Kollontai considered “comradely love” to be an important political force, elemental in shaping social bonds beyond the limitations of property relations. Red Love stems from a yearlong research by CuratorLab at Konstfack University together with Tensta konsthall, that led up to Dora García's exhibition Red Love and its related public programing. A number of artists and thinkers revisit Kollontai's ideas on the politics of love and their relation to current political, social, and feminist struggles. The publication also includes the biographical play Kollontai from 1977 by distinguished Swedish writer Agneta Pleijel. Part critical analysis and part artist book Red Love seeks to address the ongoing relevance of Kollontai's thought, and the increasingly complex sphere of love relations in advanced capitalism. Is there a place for Kollontai's vision of comradely love today and how could it be formed?
