É com muita alegria que apresento o livro Letras em Pesquisas: graduandos em ação. A missão de fazer um prefácio pressupõe conhecimento da obra, dos autores e do tema, e, como diz o dicionário, é a ação de apresentar a outrem o trabalho expresso em um livro. É uma honra e um desafio que espero desempenhar bem, considerando toda a força expressa nesse trabalho. Falar de um trabalho que engloba experiências e geografias distintas, orientadores e orientandos que, entre 2021 (em um ano ainda pandêmico) e 2023, produziram pesquisas relevantes em seu contexto as quais agora são expostas nesse livro, é uma enorme satisfação. Vou além, e digo que é um orgulho, como gestora da área de pesquisa, ver uma coletânea de trabalhos de estudantes concludentes do curso de Letras Português Inglês do IFCE, trabalhos estes sob a orientação do professor Daniel Aguiar e Silva, do Campus Tianguá, em 09 dos dez capítulos, e orientação do professor Bill Bob Adonis Arinos Lima e Sousa, do Campus Baturité (Capítulo 09), duas regiões que têm a serra em comum, assim como a Licenciatura em Letras, na produção desse material. O livro, como o nome diz, traz as Letras como produtora de ciência através dos Trabalhos de Conclusão de Curso. Trabalhos esses que reúnem conhecimentos agrupados, partilhados e sentidos em formações transpassadas pela pandemia de Covid-19. Depois de humanamente passar por essa experiência, conseguir concluir um curso, com a produção de algo efetivo não é trivial. Ao longo de 10 capítulos, essa obra traz temas variados no contexto da formação Letras Inglês. O capítulo que abre o livro traz a visão que o discente de Letras tem sobre a escrita acadêmica; os Capítulos 5, 6 e 7 abordam algo muito presente no mundo atual: a influência da internet e das redes sociais e sua interação com as letras; os Capítulos 2, 3 e 4 trazem a gramática na Língua Portuguesa ou Inglesa como protagonista. Já os Capítulos 8 e 9 abordam experiências do ensino e análise de materiais didáticos fundamentais para o bom exercício da docência; e por último, o Capítulo 10 aborda o ensino bilingue de português e inglês, onde temos o relato de quem trabalha nesse “ambiente” que vem se desenvolvendo a cada dia que passa. Sempre na perspectiva da pesquisa como princípio formativo, trazendo a observação, a reflexão, a descoberta e a análise fundamentada, é um livro que certamente contribuirá para inspirar outros estudantes e profissionais de Letras em seu percurso.
