Tout écrivain s’exprime, toute écriture peut donc être considérée comme « écriture de soi ». Mais certains écrivains entreprennent de raconter leur vie pour s’exprimer directement et, surtout, mieux se connaître. Vaine entreprise ? Telle est la question que se posent les autobiographes.
