Every hour of every day proves that inadequate solutions for social, political, and personal crises flamed by multifaceted hate singes everyone. Peace cannot be a compromise. Peace visits, and like great escape artists, it vanishes, leaving in its place bewilderment and unquenchable desire for more. Peacelessness is profitable. Industry and governments grow in response to peacelessness. Corporations and cousins fight for a piece of the pie. Blessed must be the peacemakers, they experience only temporary success yet their efforts continue in hope as evidence of things not seen. Peace is the strong cord running through history. Peace ties together every chapter of every book of the Bible. Peace is the subject of every sermon and hymn and is the cause of every war. Peace is so powerful even God works under its influence. Who understands that? Peace will bring this world to its end.

God's peace, as the Bible describes it, is a life-changing force given two vital assignments related to your heart. It is assigned to guard your heart and a second assignment is to act as umpire - helping you to make the right decision in challenging situations. So how do you get, and keep, this gift of peace from God? Obtaining it and letting it do what god created it to do is the most important thing anyone can ever do for the sake of his or her heart. Choose to be that one whose heart is peaceful and quiet - the one for whom the eyes of the Lord search the whole earth. As you let peace guard your heart from every intruder and rule like an umpire in every situation, you will enjoy undisturbed fellowship with God. And you will give Him opportunity to do what He desires most - to show Himself strong on your behalf.

Peace Power Plenty written by Orison Swett Marden and has been published by Musaicum Books this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2017-07-06 with Self-Help categories.

The book teaches that man need not be the victim of his environment, but can be the master of it. This work shows how man can stand porter at the door of his mind, admitting only his friend thoughts, only those suggestions that will produce joy, prosperity; and excluding all his enemy thoughts which would bring discord, suffering, or failure. It teaches that "your ideal is a prophecy of what you shall at last unveil," that "thought is another name for fate," that we can think ourselves out of discord into harmony, out of disease into health, out of darkness into light, out of hatred into love, out of poverty and failure into prosperity and success. Dr. Orison Swett Marden (1848-1924) was an American inspirational author who wrote about achieving success in life and founded SUCCESS magazine in 1897. He is often considered as the father of the modern-day inspirational talks and writings and his words make sense even to this day. In his books he discussed the common-sense principles and virtues that make for a well-rounded, successful life.

Power And The Pursuit Of Peace Theory And Practice In The History Of Relations Between States written by F. H. Hinsley and has been published by Cambridge University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1967-10 with History categories.

In the last years of the nineteenth century peace proposals were first stimulated by fear of the danger of war rather than in consequence of its outbreak. In this study of the nature and history of international relations Mr Hinsley presents his conclusions about the causes of war and the development of men's efforts to avoid it. In the first part he examines international theories from the end of the middle ages to the establishment of the League of Nations in their historical setting. This enables him to show how far modern peace proposals are merely copies or elaborations of earlier schemes. He believes there has been a marked reluctance to test these theories not only against the formidable criticisms of men like Rousseau, Kant and Bentham, but also against what we have learned about the nature of international relations and the history of the practice of states. This leads him to the second part of his study - an analysis of the origins of the modern states' system and of its evolution between the eighteenth century and the First World War.
