Excerpt from Public School Buildings and Their Equipment, With Special Reference to High Schools, Vol. 6 This bulletin is the first of a proposed series to be issued under the auspices of the School of Education of the University of Illinois. The aim of these bulletins is to furnish to the teachers and school authorities of the State such information of practical significance on educational matters as the University through experimentation and observation may be able to gather from time to time. At present the departments of education and of psychology, as well as the various departments that offer the subject matter for the training of secondary teachers and supervisors, are engaged in work that has a direct bearing on the general problems of education and the application of methods and principles to existing needs.
