Fur diesen Bereich der Sozialen Arbeit werden Chancen und Risiken bzw. Grenzen mit Blick auf das Qualitatsmanagement-Modell DIN EN ISO 9001 dargestellt und diskutiert. Dabei werden sowohl Moglichkeiten der okonomischen, als auch der fachlichen Steuerung betrachtet. Zunachst wird die Entwicklung der Qualitatsdebatte in den vergangenen Jahren in groben Schritten angesprochen. Die fachliche Ausrichtung erfolgt auf das Feld der Kinder- und Jugendhilfe. Hier werden bereits grundlegende Schwierigkeiten und Reibungspunkte angesprochen. Im zweiten Schritt wird dann der Fokus auf das QM-System nach DIN EN ISO 9001 gerichtet. Dessen grundlegende Kriterien und die Steuerungslogik werden dargestellt und mit anderen Modellen verglichen. Dabei geht es jedoch nicht um eine detaillierte Vorstellung und Beschreibung des DIN EN ISO 9001 Modells. Auf Grundlage der ersten beiden Kapitel werden dann Steuerungsmoglichkeiten aus okonomischer und fachlicher Sicht hinterfragt, die sich aus der Anwendung des DIN EN ISO 9001 Modells ergeben konnen. Abschlieend werden die wichtigsten Ergebnisse der Ausarbeitung in einem kurzen Fazit zusammengefasst.
